The Grand Inna Bali Beach is being totally renovated and extended to form the swanky new Meru Sanur.....a lot of money being spent. It will be a major improvement on the decaying eyesore which preceded it. Reckon the area will be pretty busy once the Sanur opens soon. You're a very good walker Adam!

The question is, what do they do with all that land? There is so much of it and it would be great if some of that land was opened up for some other independent businesses.

Sounds like Swiss Bel is one of your options and that is in quite a good location. Friends have suggested Klumpu and Maya as well, but not sure on the prices of those. I suspect Maya is upper end due to location and how modern it is.

Thanks for the tips @SanurDiaries I haven't looked into the Klumpu so I'll start doing some research. The Maya is too boutique for me 😂 It looks like a beautiful resort but I'd rather spend my money on food & excursions while in Bali. Swiss Bel have offered a really good price as there'll be 20 of us staying for my 50th Bday 🎂

I haven’t stayed at any of these, but the following all look very popular whenever I pass them (and don’t look boutiquey): Mercure Puri Santrian Prama They’re at the south end of Sanur and I think it’s pretty good down there as well. On the road off the beach there are some decent eateries and bars…

Love your videos mate. Wife (Balinese) and myself have been to Sanur a few times but staying there for 5 days in March for the first time. Not knowing the area well, your vid’s are fantastic.

You wouldn't have time to do a video walking from Swiss Bel Sanur to the Promenade, would you?

I do plan to do more videos showing the scene around Sanur, but it’s just a matter getting the time to do it all. For info, the Swiss Bel is quite centrally located and not far from the good parts of the beach. Probably only a 10 minute walk from your room to the promenade. Quite a few decent eateries nearby as well on the main road.
