How to Mount a TV Using a Fixed-Position Mount

I have a wall made of solid wood. Wall surface is made of strong wood battens stacked. If try to scan studs using detector it shows the 1 inch wood everywhere as obviously it is made of woods. Scanner also detects metal studs. Can I hang this TV mount using 8 screws of 1 inch depth any where on wood?

The screws to fit the bracket to my tv are too big for my Toshiba. I had just returned a bigger Sanus bracket to get the smaller one and still.the same problem. In future put in smaller screws for this tv set as now I have to go to the hardware to get them

Thank you, very helpful to see. Do I assume you can't slide the TV off the side when repositioning, I hope it has stops? And the suggestion here is to go direct in to a stud rather than drywall screws or rule plug? I might have to have a stud in the middle and drywall screws either side, hopefully that will work.

How far can I slide the TV to right and left? Because I need a flat TV wall bracket with wich I can always move the TV horizontal about 20cm to the right an to the left

This is a poor demo because it assumes all the factors in one's installation will be ideal scenerio, for example that you won't need to use any spacers to mount brackets to the TV because the bolts aren't the right length, or that the wall studs will line up closely enough to where you want the TV so you don't have to use drywall anchors. Yes, I know there are a dozen different bolt sizes included but in my case none of them were the right length so I have to use spacers. And I know ideally you want to mount directly into wall studs but in my case the studs are very off-center from where the TV need to go so I'll need to use anchors on at least one side.
