On the left ,it holds the top board left edge down and is used as a support for the top board when lifted up.

With the unusual relay pinout, I would have to spend a long time looking for replacement parts. But I can always bridge everything for playback only.

Very true but I did manage to find the parts quite quickly which was a bonus. If I hadn't I might have considered cleaning the old relay up although that would not be a reliable repair.
