Mmm, defensively New Zealand teams are not that good this year. I think they would struggle playing a team who's strength is defence and not just attack attack.

@@onskyk Nah it's not even close. Northern hemisphere clubs woul dhave rings run around them. With national teams, it's a different story, but the depth in NZ is what makes it special. If the 5 Super Rugby teams were spread across all 4 pools of the world cup, at least 4 would make it to the quarters and the 5th would be a decent shout too if they avoided England or SA in the pool as well.

The Southern Hemisphere offense is so utterly relentless and mobile, it eventually creates gaps in even the most well marshaled defense and those defenses quite naturally rise to levels to try to quell them. Northern hemisphere rugby Union supporters have become the equivalent of rugby league supporters coming on Union vids to talk like bitchy schoolgirls about things they’re jealous of. These invented copes & tropes don’t dovetail well with history either, even after England gets their roughly once a decade win over the AB’s.

The front 5 in the Southern Hemisphere are so much more mobile and athletic than we have in the northern hemisphere. Think that’s the major difference at the minute, they’ve sacrificed defence for speed and it does make for a more exciting game.
