What a great drawn out win for.the Rebles. It's taken time for them to put back to back wins together but I like their effort. The Reds are a strong team and I expected them to win. Happy for the Rebels.. And credit to the commentator for his great pronunciation of all the Polynesian names and his lively commentary.!

Damn it's unfortunate for rugby union in Australia, they have to compete with NRL, AFL, A-League so they're already on the backfoot, meanwhile NZ rugby teams are always getting crowds at the stadium because there's no other sports to watch

World rugby,Sanzar,NZRFU need to wake up and smell the coffee rugby is pretty much dead in the water. We're getting alot of boring games in this competition hardly any crowds constant stoppages and mistakes too many rules whistle blowing, ball and players not in action for long periods incredibly boring 💤 there's still more world rugby can do to bring back the crowds and create more action not inaction,get rid of the 3point penalty kicks for goal it's boring make it a kick for the line and then line out to attacking team that's more exciting than watching one guy take too long to kick a bloody ball,BORING Boring boring 💤

First Reds try was a forward pass.
@nsdkido
@nsdkido Жыл бұрын
Yeah that was a forward. But perhaps it doesn't count because Flook was always behind O'Conner, even though the forward momentum carried the ball forward? Seen this alot in 7s rugby and they always chalk it up to forward momemtum for the reason the ball travels forward i.e its neither the intention of the first ball carrier to make the forward pass, nor is the receiver in front of the carrier when the ball has been passed.
@luke8793
@luke8793 Жыл бұрын
@@nsdkido the law is not if the ball goes forward in the end it is the direction it goes as it leaves the hand. As long as that is backwards doesn't matter how forward the ball goes. :)

Uk few others, but they’re intelligent enough to realise league a hack game, & union was initially promoted primarily as a commonwealth nations game and gentleman’s game. I understand your point but we should take pride in being top tier in most sports with our lack of population and because with the fact you said for rugby. Shows volumes to Australia’s talent. But to answer your question not many . But Australia league played but lower socioecnomical places and schools primarily public schools crap/ rough suburbs union private school and usually higher socio economic suburbs. They should provide both options everywhere but Australia system is broken and they likely won’t change it any the foreseeable future until the world is staunching us consistently. In super rugby we have face au teams are lucky to make it to the semis

@@evs87 It's the issue with NFL in America. Just IMAGINE how much better Rugby Union would be in the Americas as a whole if we didn't have to have all the best athletes going to gridiron. It's a problem for all sports: how to grow and keep interest alive.

This business of dropping an elbow or knee on the try scorer’s head well after they’ve scored has to end. In the good old days you’d just bust the offender’s nose to even things up. Now it should be a yellow card for a cowardly act.

Come on man, that disallowed Rebels try seemed a bit off. There really should be a difference between a strip and a knock-on. That was a fair strip to me. The Reds player couldn't protect the ball, that's his fault. If the ball is stripped, then it should be open season for either team as to who gets the ball, no matter which way it rolls.
