Actually it's counter intuitive, but this is a genius marketing move. See his fans will already be aware to get the new SAO book. That is a given (as long as it is good and not rushed just to meet Miko lulz). However by signaling to a massive population of vtubing fans that the SAO author is a fan of Miko (or another popular vtuber like Peko, Korone, etc) and showing his fan creds with this clip, he is basically signaling to their entire fanbase that he is one of them. His book would almost certainly pick up a larger amount of new fans on top of his established fanbase as a result.
