For everyone coming in to see how to get this sword right now, THE ELEMENTAL WIZARD DROPS IT. No need to keep farming the endboss now. Easy and normal get you an estoc and extreme gets you a dainslef.

You dont have to go to NG+. You just need to get 1 ending, choose rewind option, go back to main screen and go to settings/option, then choose/switch to extreme mode from there. You can get the weapon art and true ending afterwards. Got that weapon art on my second ending (saving Zeliska) and then rewind 1 more time to farm affinity to get the true ending. NG+ is really not neccesary except if you want to make some changes for your char & Arfa-sys.

This game is obviously first and foremost a looter shooter with rpg elements, the photon blades were obviously an after thought and I'm happy for that, the guns are far more satisfying to use, the photon blades just feel really cluncky, there's no lock on when using them because I honestly feel they were never meant to be in the game, I get far more enjoyment out of melting enemies with dual smgs than anything else, gameplay and progression were clearly the main focus of dimps

Btw the gun in the gun and sword doesn't benefit from the memory card perks. Its just a comman gun.

You know...i hate it that you only have death guns costume with the hood down....it would have been nice if we would get a second, seperate one with the hood on, like the actual death gun npc in the kirito mode....

The estoc is good for staggering enemies the sabre lands more crits without crit buffs but doesnt stagger enemies real well

Yes Kirito didnt use Estoc, and death gun didnt use photon blade, but game allow you to use Kirito skill on Estoc, and even DROP IT from boss, when in novel was said it need to be crafted. Its game dude... This is art for Sword and gun... booth: estoc and photon. This game didnt care which one you use, all of them use same skills and art.

This is the generic gun and sword skill. You can tell because you start doing dual orbital at 3:48 for a second before you start the normal animation for the gun and sword. This is Kiritos not death guns.

Yeah that's not Death Gun's weapon art. Death Gun used an Estoc without a Gun in his off hand. An Estoc is a thrust weapon, were this weapon art cleary is a slashing combo. And also...uhm, how is this topic coming so "late" after 2 dlc's? did you just find that out or were you just trying to show it to newer players, because I'm going to be honest, that's not new stuff. I really thought there was a new hidden weapon art when I saw the title but once again, that's kirito's. :/

you need to read the description of the weapons man, the estoc has a much higher stagger rate with a lesser critical rate than the photon swords

It's my first sao game and I really love it, almost getting the platinum since I need a few more trophies then it's onto the DLCs. My setup (which I got from another youtuber) has some pretty good dps. Dual Betelgeuse 2++ with a nice memory chip setup and an AMR Deathwind+ also with a nice setup. Though I saw that the latest DLC, Dissonance of the Nexus, there's a pistol that is much better than the Betelgeuse 2++, probably even beating the 3++ as well.

I figured this out pretty late, but it helps if you hold R1 FIRST to bring up your skills, and then press L1 while still holding R1 to use the weapon art.

I farm the nephalim replicas at the mid point of forgotten temple. You need DLC1 for that though. If you don't have it, there's 2 npc's to the right of the entrance of forgotten woods. Bring explosive shot or plasma blast, power form/field 3, and nanotech boost on your arfa-sys (i'd reccomend power field on your arfa too since you won't have to worry about buffing yourself) and a stun mine. Once you kill those 2 enemy players, plant a mine on their spawn, there's a patch of grass that's shaped like a filled in U, that's where i put my mine. Run into the foresty area with the 4 players and kill them. Now just run back down to the end of the foresty area (there's a ledge and automatons spawn near it) then run back to the 2 players and kill them with explosive shot or plasma plast. You might not one shot them at first but as your medal gauge fills up to 100% you should be able to one shot them. This method requires 0 ammo so you can farm as long as you want. If you do have DLC 1 and the fight is troublesome for you, equip an ion grenade, make sure you to have explosive shot (plasma blast may work too?). Not sure if 1 or 2 will insta stun as i've only used explosive shot 3. Anyway, once you drop down toss a nade at the replica on the right, then after it stops doing it's spawning animation and starts to move normally, shoot it's legs with explosive shot and it should be instantly stunned, now just go to town on it's weak spot on it's back. After it's dead you should be able to just use an explosive shot on any of the other 2 and stun them instantly since they're been taking damage from your AI for a bit already. The fight becomes really trivial once you get the hang of it. Also, make sure to equip exp chips to all 4 of your weapons and get them to 15% and wear accessories as close to 15% as you can get. The predatory general shop in town is the best spot get those, just keep refreshing it until you get what you need. With all that equipped you'll get around 35k exp for each enemy player you kill at forgotten woods, so about 70k each loop. The replica's will get you 65k each, so 195k each time you kill all 3.

Another way is to go in a ring through the outskirts of the Old South over and over again. I only recommend this for those who are at the point at which the enemies no longer give you trouble. Beleaguering Apostles will ruin your fun if you can't kill them quickly. You also get lots of rubies and emeralds. That's how I hit lvl 200. If you're just lacking in credits though, farm Concealed Genbu. Good luck on your grind.

NigelBlackBerry Trust me, jumping to extreme at the get go will give you lots of exp. It'll also help you improve at the game by beating enemies and bosses with a strategy rather than stats. That's what I did. It was worth it. Also, hitting weakspots is much more meaningful. Spraying and praying will no longer work. ;P
