Prasar Bharati Archives presents Saora Tribe, one of the oldest known tribes of India, distributed mainly in the states of Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Bihār. They speak Saora and are mostly Hindus.
The Saoras of the plains depending on their wet cultivation or wage earning and selling fire wood and The Hill Saoras practicing shifting and terraced cultivation on the hill slopes.

As an Odia, i have utmost respect for the Sabaras, they are our ancestors along with Aryans. Jagannath dev is Sabara diety first, then of the world. Sabaras are the oldest Hindus, they are a tribe now but our culture are very similar. Jaya Jagannatha to all my Sabara bros. Sabari maa was from Odisha, she was Sabar and the mother of all Sabaras. We Odias are proud to be her children as well❤.
