Hi Parminder - Thanks for the videos! Do you have any information to share on AATP with make-to-order/configurable products? Thanks
@paramsaddy Жыл бұрын
Hi Jesse , not worked on those scenarios yet with aATP. In general atp does not make much sence for MTO as we produce and deliver on demand not from stock. But it would be good to know your business scenario where you need aatp for MTO , please elaborate your scenario

@@paramsaddy Thanks for the response. Today we use product allocations in GATP to consider MTO Product Family/Model, Customer Region, product, components, and other dynamic constraints for MTO products. We have custom logic in place to align allocation consumption in the same build period/week. Sales orders are always quantity of 1 and cannot be built in substitute locations. We copy forecast from APO DP into our GATP planning books for a starting point, but business also manually maintains constraints.

Hi Parminder - Great content, thanks for the explanation. I am aware in HANA we can classify our customers into win, gain, redistribute, fill and lose when running BOP. Was any classifying of customers was available in ECC when running BOP (Like Diamond and Gold) ? Also, how do we change priority of SO in ECC when running BOP and rescheduling ?

Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad you found the content helpful! 😊 Regarding your question, in ECC, the customer classification for Backorder Processing (BOP) wasn't as advanced as in SAP S/4 HANA. The ECC system mainly used customer prioritization based on different criteria like customer importance (e.g., customer groups or specific indicators set in the master data) but didn't have specific categories like Win, Gain, Redistribute, etc., used in S/4 HANA. One key field used for prioritizing sales orders in ECC was the delivery priority field, which is maintained in the customer master data (under the Sales Area Data) and is automatically copied into the sales order. This delivery priority could then be used to determine the importance of the order and prioritize accordingly during BOP or availability checks. To change the priority of a sales order in ECC during BOP, you typically had to adjust the settings in the availability check or manipulate the item categories. You could also use custom logic in user exits or enhancements to achieve specific prioritization needs, but the flexibility wasn't as built-in and intuitive as in S/4HANA. I hope this helps!
