We used SAP Fico for Financial inclusion and Controlling mechanism,it used to be R/2 but now database has been added to this to form a big data arrangement massive thus a dedicated customizable access from Software perspective. SAP Hana has the distributed operating system as a whole sequel may be as for the primitive system is concerned,more customized thus.

How would I get a development environment up and running for SAP and connect SAP to SQL server management studio? This example appears to be exactly what I want, but how do I get SAP application and supporting sample data to practice? The problem I am running into is I can't find a way to download a local SAP application, populated with sample business data. Then i want to connect MS SQL Server to the SAP data, then I want to look at schema, modules, primary and foreign keys so I can code powerful and helpful SQL to compile data in ways which SAP isn't doing.

I think you are asking about SAP applications like S/4HANA. This video is about HANA the database and performing HANA Native development. It has nothing to do with MSSQL. You should probably ask your question in the SAP Community.

As for the Database conn variable implemented may not function as desired like controller variable thus throwing exception. If no such exception it is the abend due to wrong data insertin but HANA must have the validation module everywhere,the plugin may be inserted in HANA code to make this happen may be.

Is this video applicable for S/4 Hana cloud?
@sapdevs7 ай бұрын
No. This video is about the HANA db and native HANA development. It would apply to HANA Cloud but not directly to S/4 HANA Cloud. It would be useful if you are using CAP for building side-by-side extensions to S/4 HANA Cloud.

@@sapdevs for someone trying to learn S/4 Hana from a developer standpoint, do you know of a good starting point?
@sapdevs7 ай бұрын
I'd suggest you look atthe videos here on ABAP Cloud and RAP since that's the foundation of development with S/4 HANA Cloud.

Good morning. Is the content of this video still valid in 2023 (regarding Hana OnPremise)? Thanks!
@sapdevs Жыл бұрын
Yes still valid. Part 1 of this series in particular still applies to all versions of HANA since it talks about general architecture. The later videos do use the Web IDE for SAP HANA that would only apply now to HANA on Premise. Much of the concepts are the same, but the tooling is a bit different in HANA Cloud (it uses Business Application Studio). Thomas Jung
