There are many reasons for the failures of S/4HANA implementations. Of these, some parts are not specific to S4H but are common to every ERP implementation. Therefore, I invite you to reflect on some specific macro problems of S4H projects. - The architecture of the system - SAP's business model (and partner network) - The ever-increasing rapidity of change in customers' business models SAP architecture and SAP business model are difficult to reconcile with the needs of the customers' business. These are my thoughts - failures can be attributed to: The organisational structure and processes are not ready for the functionality it provides, from a training and continuity point of view; The regions socio-demograhics does not support the functionality it can provide; The nature of the business enterprise's transactions; The reluctance of the process owners, to relinquish business process, pre-implementation - due to the functionality it can provide; The quality and integrity of the data, certainly surpasses most solutions, if done right; An exercise to determine the value the functionality can provide - will certainly help in the decision making process.
