In an ideal Islamic country, democracy cannot overule Shari'a. It is to legislate matters not pertaining to morality e.g. traffic laws. In addition, the biggest plague on the Ummah from the beginning has been infighting. When the ruler is not held to account, you get corruption. When people get sick of corruption, they will turn to violent means if there is no peaceful way to make changes.

Follow Muhammad bin islam style rule in the country and leave other issues. Everything will fix automatically. Don’t worry so much about everything. Everybody has a choice what to wear , which religion to follow and even have a partner or marriage and it’s only can happen if your government is secular in the country which is right. I mean not only Muslim countries must have secular laws in the country but non Muslim countries must have secular laws in their country as well except Afghanistan. All world countries must have secular laws in their country except Afghanistan. This is the only way to live happily. Every country should have good laws of crime punishment whatever they are to protect victim rights. But what to wear , which religion to follow and how many partners to have and even person wants to get marry or have boy girl friend is totally personal choice.
