oh my gosh the cat getting behind the books had me giggling, I love cats so much. How difficult are raspberry plants to maintain? They are my favorite fruit but I do NOT have a green thumb.

Haha, I always say I have a black thumb. Raspberries are pretty self-sufficient, they just need a lot of water here because they are in the sun so much on the balcony and it's never raining in this town it seems. Back in my old place, where I had them in the garden, I ignored them until I could harvest. :D

That sounds like a great readathon! I was a bit disappointed by the book, but if you enjoy fairytale retellings with a twist, then you might like it. :)
