I think you'll need to release a video pertaining the Sapphire Trixx V6+. What's the Power and Stealth button do, and how to know which one is selected since there is no indicator to know which is selected. And that Trixx does not work well with MSI Afterburner, you really need to inform this to the user.

in the RX 580 nitro the switch (gaming/compute) is in the back of the card, not near the display connectors. and the paper instructions that came in the box are so ambiguous that if they were absent the result would be the same... would it be that hard to mark at least one of the positions??

When you change the bios on the card and have trouble booting, some MB's hang causing the boot issues. One easy fix is to clear the MB CMOS. Most have a two prong jumper on the MB. Just short it out with a Phillips screwdriver when you power up.

I don't have proof since I'm only fiddling with my 470, but lower clock speeds mean less power draw. So far I haven't really seen any difference whatsoever since the clock speed throttles a lot in my case, even at ~66°C and full fan.

its was probably used for mining so you need to download atiflasher and install the new firmware for that card. Good luck

Is there a troubleshooting guide what to do when the gaming bios setting does not work? Black screen on start up. Compute mode works fine. It is a Rx580. Some minimum requirements for AMI Bios Version? Other Mainboard specs?

Mate I have the same problem. Bought a rx 580 8bg pulse and works only in compute mode. Doesn't boot in gaming mode. Did you find anything that can help? I also have a sapphire mobo from 2011. (Sapphire Pure black p67 hydra and i7 2600k)

@bencecc1447 I would try flashing the bios if all else fails. It may have a mining bios... Get the right bios the the version of card and give it a go.

Everytime i switch to performance mode i get fps drops and pc hangs after 15-30mins of playing..maybe its because of my psu cant keep up with its wattage? I jumps from 107w on quiet mode to 175w on performance mode...also i notice the card runs hotter so could it be the factor?also fans speed ramp from 800rpm to 1600rpm...also i notice huge frame rate boost on performance mode up to 20% i think? But im still using quiet mode...i feel like the performance mode is too unstable..

you need more powerful power supply and better fan cooling in your PC case. Also could be your CPU is not good enough to run the games at higher frame rate. for example my 7900 XTX sapphire nitro can only run 60%-70% max GPU usage with my 3700X cpu which is too slow to make games run in higher frame rates. I would need to upgrade to new CPU like 5800X3D or 7800X3D in order to make my 7900 XTX run at 99%-100% performance power to get way more frame rates in most games.

Can't confirm by my own experience, but I have watched some repairment channel, and they said that yes, second bios can actually be used as backup.

Yes, the 2nd bios stays GOOD at all times unless you ruin the backup bios as well, it has 2 chips, 2 separate bios chips.

Performance mode = more power + higher clocks, these will result in higher heat...thats why fan is more aggressive If you can OC silent mode to "performance" clock then you'll see lower temp and silent fan

It's possible your power supply is not coping with the extra demands of 'performance' mode, so ensure that it's rated high enough. Personally, I wouldn't use anything less than a 500A power supply (80 Plus Gold preferably), but even then it depends on what the rest of your system is using. If in doubt, upgrade the power supply. Also be sure that your case is well ventilated and that GFX card temperatures are within the acceptable range. If not, add a fan or two.

@@samuelhernandezgarcia5851 Try clearing the cmos on the motherboard. If it is MSI mb there should be a two prong jumper near the bottom right. just short it out with a phillip's head screwdriver on power up.

I noticed that the RX580 wasn't working and this month is my 26 months of ownership which is 2 months past the warranty grace period. I click the switch and now the signal is back but with 2 vertical lines. I put it back to the setting it came on and it's just a blue/no signal screen and GPU light (next to AM, CPU, and Boot) has returned on the Z270X motherboard. Do you think flashing will help and how since I can't see that well under the other mode?

Left is default quiet position. you can also use Trixx sapphire software to change bios mode in the app instead of the physical switch. OC bios is right side and middle is 2nd backup bios for bios flashing.

I just installed the Nitro + 5700 XT today on my PC and was wondering the same thing. No label or anything. They could've put a turtle icon on the left and a rabbit on the right. No big deal it just seems odd. Other than that though the hardware's great and runs much cooler than my older GPU.

Unfortunately the TRIXX bios selection is exclusive to the NITRO+ range of graphics cards. Also, it's a separate switch position on the card itself and is not technically running 2 bios's at the same time ~Pixel

Hey Sapphire. I bought two new RX580s and they are able to get the 30MH on ETH, I bought another card today and it's locked at 22.5MH. Is there a bios switch on these cards. I do not have a cutout like what you show here. I have the Sapphire Pulse RX580s.

Anyday would take more performance over noise. Moreover when you are wearing headphones the fan noise is not noticeable. Not sure why so many people crib about loud fans.

Fan noise is certainly less off an issue these days since fans have got a lot better along with cooling solutions in general. However, some people if they have hot box cases, open air cases or a need for silence (voice recording or speaker users) the fan noise can be a problem. Also, for some people it's not just about the fan noise but also the power usage. On a system that's on all the time in a place like the UK that could add up to £20-£30 extra per year if running for 10-12 hours a day.

Late but mine does. Back of card toward the top on the cards board. press toward the PCs MoBo is gaming mode and away from the MoBo is compute mode. Says in compute mode the system may become unstable in gaming applications.

@@PixelTheory Thanks, a Radeon VII with a fully populated VRM, dual VBIOS switch, and 2 PCIe slot wide, triple fan cooler that vents out the back and front of the GPU as well as the sides, with a smaller "Radeon logo" would be good. Anything larger than 2 slot wide card make it difficult to fit in some builds. Do exisiting Radeon VII still ship w/o UEFI BIOS or has that been fixed for all cards in retail chain now?

Do not do this, on the agressivemode bios the driver for video card is not working so you get no performance, your games wont even start

The bios modes are completely separate from drivers. They are part of the graphics card itself, basically. The drivers are always going to be from AMD.
