My wife and I love playing the "as well" game with this video and other cruise videos. Each time the host says "as well" you take a shot of your favorite booze. It's hard to remember the the second half of these vids.

We're doing this in February, Santiago to Buenos Aires on the Sapphire. -The last cruise I was on was on the Ruby Princess, and it was a nice surprise. The cruise itself is much like Celebrity, but the boats are different; A bit cozier overall. Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean and RC is FLAWLESS with their organization. Their management is top notch, especially with Celebrity cruises which are more high end. The only thing I will say about Celebrity (It's true of Princess as well...) is that these are the geriatric cruises. Every fourth person has a cane, a walker, or rides an electric scooter. And the other 75% are not exactly spring chickens. On the Ruby, out of 1780 passengers on board I bet there were less than 20 children, and the number of 20 and 30 somethings was probably not much higher..... Not as "staid" as on Cunard, or Holland America (which has been told to me to be "floating assisted living") but not much better. Great video!

As a rule of thumb, the longer the cruise, and season of the cruise, the older the clientele will be. 7 day cruises in AK are much younger even on Princess or HAL. Glad you love to cruise like we do!

Typically, the "tree house" is a place that babysits the kids so that you can get it on with your wife in the cabin. That exists on EVERY cruise ship, though the names vary.

Battleship Iowa, moored in San Pedro (Los Angeles) harbor. If you ever have the opportunity to do a tour, be sure to do it. Those big guns leveled a lot of places back in the day..

I spent 32 days on the Sapphire Princess and there are many areas of the ship that are showing her age, from the stateroom bathroom to the balcony. Some of the furniture in the lounges was very worn and needs to be replaced, the pool tiles are falling off and look tacky, pool towels stained. The buffet was disappointing, the main dining rooms were much better on quality. Try a newer ship, if you want to sail on Princess.

Listen... I've been on Princess. And Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity, and Cunard, and Norwegian. There is NO SUCH THING as good pizza on a cruise ship! At best it is like frozen pizza- Thank you for plugging it, I appreciate that you like it, but that pizza is NASTY!
