I hate the Eagles but I was hoping Barkley would break the record because Im still pissed at how the Giants handled the whole thing. I get it, he was offered a contract the season before, but then they just turned to Jones and said "Well he wont take this so do you want it?". Now the Eagles are doing this in hopes the Giants trip into a win and get knocked to 7th place in the draft order. Its bad enough this season was worse than any season since Dave Brown, getting 7th in a draft thats weaker than last year is going to suck. The Giants already showed last week that theyre there to play and rightfully so but why couldnt they play like that all season? My team is a joke that you cant laugh at.

This is an opportunity to be legendary for Barkley, his legacy and HOF status. We also play this game to compete and be the best in your position, so why past up an opportunity to be the world record holder for rushing yards. This will be edged in history for decades, even long after he leaves this earth. No one knows if Eagles will win the Super Bowl and if they get bounced in the first round, then giving up the record was pointless. I say let him go for it, and the team can still compete for a Super Bowl. I compete to be the best and not just joining a 2000 rushing yards club, but to be the best and this is being given up foolishly if you ask me.

Complete BS. Dre Greenlaw recently injured himself on the sideline and Russel Wilson was injured during team practice. There is not one reason the Eagles can suit up and play as a team for 1 quarter to let Saquan Barkley make history. Detroit played a meaningless game to them last week and the result was the first time San Francisco since 2015. Super Bowls are work with courage, not caution.
