I have over 2500 rounds through mine. 115, 124, 147gr. FMJ, HP. DOES NOT MATTER! This gun runs great! I highly recommend SAR!

@@bushidotrianglechoke7294 very manageable actually. Kind of surprisubg with a heavy recoil spring. I think the bore axis is low enough and the adjustability of the grip makes it a very behaved pistol under recoil.

Picked one up about a month ago. Only type of failure I had was it failed to lock the slide back after the last round in the magazine was fired. But then I read they want you to start with 124 grain ammo. I was using 115. Other than that, grouping at 21 feet is identical to my VP9. I wasn’t expecting much from this pistol, but I was wrong. It’s really impressive at that price point

SAR 9 x Platinum looks even better, so I had to get one. It comes with bunch of accessories. Spoke to gunsmith that been doing it since 1955, he said the best quality guns being made are now coming out of Turkey.

Great Review and I am guilty of not tuning in for a while. You made a very important and VERY OVERLOOKED observation. Pistols like the SAR 9 that are made for NATO spec are obviously built around the 124 grain 9mm NATO round. IIRC, typically a universal shaped 124 gr. FMJ loaded to around 1200 FPS. So especially when they're new, if you feed them inexpensive 115 gr. loads, and I've seen some even lighter used, and you're lucky if they'd actually chronograph 1100 FPS, there's a definite difference. Apparently a good many reviewers don't even consider something as simple as Power Factor. Simply Bullet Weight x velocity / 1000 = PF. Glad to see you're on top of this, but it doesn't really surprise me that you are. All you need to do now, if you haven't already, is take up handloading. Check out a good many articles I've written about handloading 9 x 19mm including 9mm +P and others at blog.westernpowders.com Also gotta love that Sarsilmaz used a 2-stage recoil spring/guide system. It makes a noticeable difference in recoil which combined with the low bore axis, that's as low as any, this is a serious pistol at an unbelievably good price. Thanks! Gonna watch the other 2 vids you did on it as well.

Well, I shot my SAR 9 for the first time 2 days ago, Federal 124 FMJ. I had numerous FTFs, and I don't limp wrist. Did I get a lemon?

@@GunStuffTV Now that I've looked at it more, the sar9 backplate has a bend/angle in it. I'll just fill one of the ruts with a thin blue line.

They need to get ride of that SAR red logo on the panels. It totally ruins the design of the gun.
