I love how "real" and "personal" all of Sarah's songs feel. You can really relate to everything she releases.

I fully understand. I to have the same fears and my mind falls into a huge spiral on how am I living my life? What happens if I am no longer or am I even worthy? Sarah is always slaying the music game!!!

This song is a hit, a banger, an absolute masterpiece! Once again, you did it, Sarah. And another time it's a really personal song with all these thoughts you put in. And I guess we all had some of them. Especially when you get older you ask yourself where did the time go? Time literally flies sometimes and you really don't know if you've achieved anything. You feel useless sometimes. But I also think that we shouldn't think about death too much. Instead we should be happy to live every day, hour, minute and second of our life. Enjoy, embrace and be grateful for it. So rather than thinking about how we die we should think about what makes our life beautiful. Friends, love, hobbies, family and so many other things. Including to listen to your songs, Sarah. We have it in our own hands if our life will be beautiful or not. The way we judge and treat ourselves, how we care about others, what we wanna achieve, all of these are decisions we can make. Because in the end we don't have to die but we get to. Still so proud of you, Sarah! Last year was amazing with all of your songs and I'm sure this won't change this year. Keep that spirit you're working with, that passion and love because this it what makes you unique. Always take care of yourself and your mental health though. Love yah and miss yah T

This song hit me so hard the first time I heard it, I relate so fucking much. I've been having panic attacks about the inevitability of death since I was FIVE years old. And now it hits even harder... [This is one of those long, extremely personal, over sharing KZbin comments. You know the type. I've warned you now so you can skip it if that annoys you.] My grandfather just died. Not from an "old person death", but from a preventable tragic accident. He was 70, could have lived another several years. To make matters worse his mom is still alive and his brother is dying from cancer too. I lost a child before she was born, I can't imagine out living two after knowing them their entire lives. My grandma lost her best friend, her husband of 20-something years. My mom lost her "real" dad that she'd never had. (He was my grandma's 3rd husband, so my mom's second step-dad and so technically my step-grandfather but the only one I counted because the other two are horrible people.) I didn't even know him that well and yet I'm still devastated. He was family and I loved him, he treated my grandma and my mom right. I only remember him ever being kind to me. Now I'll never even have a chance to know him any better, that opportunity has been ripped away. I'm very close to my mom and grandma and seeing them hurting like this tears me apart. When I was younger I used to be chronically suicidal. (Yep, simultaneously afraid of death AND suicidal! Just depended on how I was feeling at that moment.) If losing him has made them hurt like this I can only imagine what it would have done to them if I had actually gone through with it. I love this fucking song so much it is pretty much the only song that is helping me process this weird grief right now. I love KZbin comments because it's likely nobody will ever read this and it doesn't matter because it felt good to vent about it. And I mean if you did decide to read this and you're not going to leave a nasty reply... Thanks for listening.

Since I often decide whether I should do something by thinking of whether it's more appropriate to say I "have to" or "get to" do it, I can relate to these lyrics. Hope you don't meet the Grim Reaper for a while either way, Sarah!

OverviewLyricsListen I met a woman who buried her son with his eyes closed It had me selfishly thinkin' 'bout the way that I might go I even thought about askin' my friend for a bible 'Cause it's been a week and a day since I slept with my eyes closed And it don't make sense The more I think about how my story ends I drink about all the things I know that I can't change Save me Tell me I'm not crazy Tell me how I live my life if I know I'll die Maybe if I change my mind I can get through Restless Existential crisis Maybe I'll sleep through the night if I change my mind Maybe we don't have to die but we get to We don't have to die but we get to We don't have to die but we get to I remember my parents sayin' where did the time go I used to take it for granted but little did I know I thought that I had forever but I'm part of the cycle Now I'm starin' at the ceiling saying where did the time go And it don't make sense The more I think about how my story ends I drink about all the things I know that I can't change Save me Tell me I'm not crazy Tell me how I live my life if I know I'll die Maybe if I change my mind I can get through Restless Existential crisis Maybe I'll sleep through the night if I change my mind Maybe we don't have to die but we get to Save me Tell me I'm not crazy Tell me how I live my life if I know I'll die Maybe if I change my mind I can get through Restless Existential crisis Maybe I'll sleep through the night iIf I change my mind Maybe we don't have to die but we get to
