I believe the correct term for what she used to break the glass is a fireplace raker. You rake the coals to keep them going before they die. If you notice she pulls it from her fireplace set just before getting into the full swing of the song.

The Descendants film series is about the offspring of many classic Disney Heroes and Villains. This is Audrey, daughter of Aurora aka Sleeping Beauty. Backstory behind this song is Mal, daughter of Maleficent in the first movie used a love spell on Audrey boyfriend prince Ben. Ben broke up with Audrey for Mal, but even after he broke the love spell he stayed with Mal, and in the third movie Ben proposed to Mal. Audrey is beyond upset she lost her love and her chance at Queen and now she met her breaking point.

Also the museum she was in is The Museum of Cultural History (I believe that's the name) it's where you can find all the magical artifacts, everything from fairy godmothers wand to the genies lamp. Should watch the movie to get an idea of it, or at least the previous movies. Audrey (Sarah Jeffery) is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty who was dating Prince Ben (son of Beast and Belle). Ben broke up with Audrey for Mal who is Malificent's daughter when Ben decided that the villain children should get a chance to live in Auradon instead of locked up on an island with a barrier where there is no magic. Mal, along with her 3 best friends all got this chance and Mal and Ben fell in love and was proposed to at the beginning of the third movie which made Audrey mad and go steal the crown. The staff was Malificent's staff. Audrey was mad because if it wasn't for Mal she would have been the queen.

Okay so basically the Beast and Belle and the villains had kids and the basically all the really interesting people got booted to this abandoned island desperately trying to find away off (oh um that girl also know as Audrey is Sleeping Beauty’s daughter but shall not go into details QUITE yet :/) So the Prince, (Belles son named Ben) Decides to pick 4 people to come to Aurodon (I think how you spell it) and he picks 4 VK’s (VK means villain kid) So he picks Mal, Maleficents daughters, Carlos son of Carella Deville, Evie daughter of Evil Queen, Jay son of Jafar. So Maleficent wants Fairy Godmothers wand to set her free and get revenge on Sleeping Beauty So they get the news that there children are welcome to go to Aurodon Prep the kids are devastated but the mom convinced her to go. So blah blah blah they arrive and introduction a tour of the school I think we get it.
