I think a lot of people don’t realize the plot twist. In BOTH timelines, Merlin’s ALWAYS had his spell book safeguarded, so Uliana and her friends will have always been made frozen, which stopped them from doing the prank. But because Chloe and Red were there to kind of take possession of the book, and it causing the future to be changed, we can infer that they UNKNOWINGLY stopped this mysterious person from taking the book in the short time between the future villains being frozen and Merlin arriving. We also learned that only someone “good” could actually open the book. We will probably find out who actually pranked Bridget in part 2.

Cinderella getting grounded doesn't change the story, in the original Cinderella was forbidden to go to the dance, she only gets there thanks to the fairy godmother magic.

⁠@@COSun25 Well, here's my theory: when Fairy Godmother, also known as Fay which is her birth name, was in Merlin Academy when she was young, she was actually her older self in disguise and she was indeed Cinderella's godmother and at the time, she wasn't good at magic and she had no idea what to do until she learned that Merlin Academy teaches magic, so she decided to take the form of her younger self from many years ago and go to Merlin Academy as a student to learn more about magic in order to be good at it and kept her true identity a secret and when she met Ella, also known as Cinderella, she realizes that she's her goddaughter. A few years later, when Ella was 19, she found out that her lover from high school, Prince Charming, was holding a ball and she wanted to come with her stepmother and stepsisters to meet him again after not seeing him for a long time ever since graduating high school, so her mice friends, including Jaq and Gus, redid her mother's dress, but her stepsisters ruined her dress. Ella cried her eyes out after what her stepsisters did until Fay, who now goes by Fairy Godmother, came to help her as her godmother and that's when she used her magic to turn her torned dress into a beautiful ball gown, a pumpkin into a gorgeous carriage, and her animal friends into servants.

I quite enjoyed this film! The songs were bangers, the story was unique, and the actors were amazing in their respective roles!!! I found the ending anticlimactic, but I strongly believe that all that will be explored in the next film!!! Similar to the Back To The Future trilogy, there are some unanswered questions such as that if a VK can’t open the cookbook but an AK can. Also take into account that Morgie was the only one not frozen; it’s possible he found a way to break the gang out or manipulated Ella or Bridget or someone else to open the cookbook and still pulled a prank. We’ll just have to wait and see as only time will tell. 👑🥀⚔️⏱️🧁😇😈💔🖤🩵💛💖

@@tktoptunes obviously given how things ended if we get descendants 5 I think the storyline will be centered around princess Chloe and queen Cinderella because in the past when Chloe broke the vase Cinderella was grounded so my question is did Cinderella go to castle coming and I guess she did go cause she was wearing the Same outfit she wore before but I wonder if her personality changed or does Chloe still have a brother aka Chad and where was king charming her father could've at least showed up last minute I guess he still at Chad's college watching him play whatever game he's playing,I definitely have questions and what happened to ulyana, captain hook and maleficent did there future change to,so many options considering how the past 3 movies went but I'll definitely be watching

i believe that because uliana and her friends couldn't open the book because it was safeguarded, someone else who was good had to open the book for them. the way ella was acting towards bridget and some of her facial expressions towards her seemed off. i feel like ella had something to do with the prank.. she even tells queen of hearts that it was a stupid prank, but to her it wasn't a stupid prank. she was humiliated in front of the entire school and all she wanted was friends. ella didn't have her back supposedly because she was more focused on charming at the dance. mad hatter did also say that messing around with time traveling, it could ruin the future. at the end, there's a glow around chloe and cinderella (ella) which makes me think something will happen to one of them in the 2nd one. dove cameron talked about if she was returning in the next one, she didn't give a yes or no answer but there's a rumor that she could be returning, maybe with the other's too. i kind of wish that in the past, hade's and maleficent had more lines and be the top villians over uliana.. only because hade's is the only one that's a god & maleficent is a powerful villain as well after hade's, in my opinion. i just don't see uliana or even ursula being stronger and more powerful over them. but i liked to see all the villains together. also wished we saw evil queen considering that in the first descendants, it was said that maleficent and evil queen took over their school.
