At least someone had enough common sense to (for aesthetic purposes) plug a guitar cable into the guitar. After 40 years of music videos, people still think artists are actually "playing the song" in the video. (still) Completely oblivious to the concept of what "cherry-picked means." The herd will be the herd... Make your money sweetheart.

They had to preform emergency surgery on the guitars head. It almost didnt make it. The guitar had a horible case on not holding tune. The wonderful guitar techs kept it alive and relocated the head ofthe guitar to below its bridge. Its a heart warming story. I got really hyped about what she had in store after hearing Stay Here on her channel, but the two songs released from the upcoming record, even if they are not directly influenced by AAL, made me feel the same way I feel about AAL: deep respect for the musicianship, but the production sounds just flat and inoffensive to my ears, almost anemic (which is always weird for me on a metal record), and it just ruins anything the composition could offer. It seems to be the norm for most of the djent-related artists though, so this is surely just a personal lack of taste for a constant of the genre. I hoped that being signed to a well-known label would lead her to dare and experiment a little more than what is heard on the two songs currently released. She is capable to do it (I still listen regularly to Stay Here atm), that's why I feel disappointed.
@bignicktex6 жыл бұрын

Doesn't matter who or what it sounds like, if the song is chill just listen and enjoy it. If you're able to emulate Tosin Abasi's stuff, fair play because that's a technical challenge in and of its own. At the end of the day it's a cool bit of music, doesn't matter who or what it's influenced by, it's just someone expressing themselves and putting it out there for people to enjoy, if it's not you thing you ain't gotta listen to it.
