Such a wonderful song and performance. I'm guessing that a meaningful translation is next to impossible and that the sense we have from the English misses the sense of the song. Otherwise, it comes off as foolish as opera lyrics often are. If she is his queen, why does he let her live like this. Because she prefers this life? But then why does she cry? Is she insane? If so, how can he engage in love with her. It's hard to make sense of this.
