Well said, Spike. It's like when George Carlin turned to an edgier angrier style of standup comedy in the 90s, some people could not handle it. It is an act! He did it to move with the times and wake up complacent people. When Steve Martin and Albert Brooks started portraying show-business assholes in their comedy in the 70s...they were trying to make an ironic point about what show-business is like. Or Don Rickles. He is not really like that at home...it is a persona to entertain and make people laugh. Sarah's persona, especially on her TV show, is a character so shallow, selfish and offensive she doesn't get why people are upset with her. In real life, she's a more sensitive soul. It's about comedy, and surprising people.
