It’s really nice seeing Sarah’s parents happy in the stands watching their daughter play great and get a double double.

That was a great game to watch. Two great teams going at it ❤. Sarah had a strong game LoL. Didn't hit on many of her shots, but boy did she make up for it in every other aspect of her game. Rebounds, blocks, assist, steals.

There's a Bible Belt and there's a Basketball Belt and then there is UConn women's team. I always wondered how UConn could be a leader without being in the Belt. Now I know. Coach Geno went south and saw how Virginia and UNC did it. Now the picture, the jigsaw puzzle is complete for me. Fantastic!!!

Aside from Paige, with even mediocre, instead of bad 3-point shooting, we would have easily been up by 40+ at multiple points in the game. In light of N.C. being a very good, well-coached team, I'm convinced that this young Uconn group is going to become a great team. Comfort, confidence, and chemistry will grow with each game. Sarah's 3's will certainly begin to fall because they always have! She's a shiny new Uconn phenom! Azzi's return is imminent. Morgan & Allie are excellent players and, so importantly, confident, unafraid freshman. And finally, "we have Paige and they don't."

NC's zone defense was very effective once it was used. What happened to the UConn fast break, so effective in the past?

Congratulation Coach!!!! This moment comes only once!!! The next moment will be the Record then it is a Plus Win!!!! But those Plus Wins are more important than the Record Win as they signal "MORE" is the philosophy of the team!!!!

This team is looking too much like Iowa last year. Others need to contribute. I do like how aggressive Paige early. Blitz the other team early, THEN run plays for the others. The Ice/sarah tandem looks good too

Dude, it’s game 3 and they had a double digit win on the road against a top 15 team. They also have 5 new players they are trying to integrate, and the other 3 are only Sophomores. Paige and Chen are the only upper classmen and Chen has been here 3 games! When Fudd and and Griffin get back, they’ll have 4 upper classmen, better rebounding and shooting, and enough depth to pressure for 40 minutes. No one but Paige could hit a shot, it was a terrible shooting night. Youngsters on the road, it happens. In a few months it won’t. Paige should have had about 13 assists tonight if anyone could throw it in the ocean and UConn woukd have won by >25. Early season is figuring out your players and combinations. This year Paige is on a Mission, they have more depth and talent than they’ve had in over a decade and there are no super teams to worry about. SC is guard driven (no front court AA’s ) and they dont shoot that well. USC is led by a soph who is wildly inefficient and who choked horribly in the post season last year and they have limited depth, especially in ball handling. UCLA are Texas are too dependent on 2 players. ND will likely be the biggest threat, but they lack depth and size( they’re only real big is a frosh from Ukraine who didn’t face US hs competition). They are already way ahead of last year and the prospects, on paper( talent and depth) are better than any time in recent memory.

Not because those guys are still out. They played like they haven't connected all the dots yet. How they are playing now has nothing to do with who they will be in March and April. Consider what a puppy looks like when you first get it and what they look like after a year. This puppy gets raised by some of the best trainers, literally, in the world. They will mature and do tricks you have never seen before. I have been a fan since 95. I have seen some teams so smooth, soooo slick, so magically together that it's poetry in motion.. This team has that potential. There are more amazing kids on this team than any team I can remember.

You need to look for talent and chemistry this time of year. Look where they were last year. Missing 5 good players. They lost games early. People that comment on here said they shouldn't be in the top 20. They said Paige would never be the same. They were calling for Geno to retire. Then Paige became better than ever, the freshmen started to get it and Geno did some of his best coaching ever. They were 1 shot away from the title game. Finishing 3rd. Give Geno and his coaches time and they will have this team ready. It's the most talent they've had for many years

Geno... I liked him until they put a mike in front of him. His vitriolic opinions don't age well.

Paige currently plays with bandaged knees. missed 2022-23 season due to injury. All this while playing against 18 -20 year olds. Don't see her doing much in the WNBA. Dallas already has Ogumbawale, and is predicted next year to miss the Draft Lottery 2026. My favourite movie scene comes from Kevin Costner, when he tells the Jacksonville Jaguars Manager, the REASON that he did not pick Bo Callaghan, is because he believes BO to be a BUST !!!. That is my prediction for what will happen when Paige joins the WNBA. And afterwards, we can all point fingers at Geno, since he is the one that started the Hype about Paige.
@jamesl2471Ай бұрын
That's a hilarious take. BTW, Geno didn't start the hype on Paige. As an 8th grader, she was already the best varsity girls basketball player in Minnesota - a state with really great girls basketball. She had Minnesota Timberwolves players attending her high school games.

Bo Callahan was passed on cause he had character issues, and team fit, not because he was gonna be a bust. Paige is a stand up role model, and a great player. She's gonna win the title this year and then get drafted #1
