This is a perfect example of how Sarah Vaughan could take you to places in a song you never imagined existed. Wonderful, breathtaking places .

My favorite female Jazz singer of all times. The Best. Her music is magic and calms my soul. She was a source of inspiration for Lady Gaga's Jazz records and how not to ? She was just great. Rip Angel.

This is a cover of a classic Beatles song. There are one or two other live versions on KZbin that are equally excellent. FTR Sarah's career began in 1947. You should consider these live video performances: Over the Rainbow 1950s w/ the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra The More I See You and Polka Dots & Moonbeams at Mr. Kelly's Maria live in Stockholm 1964 The Shadow Of Your Smile w/ the Bob James Trio Live recordings to consider: I'll Be Seeing You, Over The Rainbow, Fly Me To The Moon from Sassy Swings the Tivoli Detour Ahead, Speak Low and I'll String Along from At The London House Be Anything, Stairway To The Stars and Alone from At Mr. Kelly's

the most voluptuous voice ever...she didnt like being called a jazz singer..yet she had the greatest voice in jazz...she wasnt the greatest singer...she was close....but not quite..she had too much fun, she loved singing too much and embraced being happy too much to explore the stark emotional depths of Billie...but it matters not....she was always great, but I do love the cavernous depth of her later work for the Sharkey's Machine Soundtrack and South Pacific..the Pablo recordings of songs like More Than You Know and some of the Mercury recordings are astounding....if you like cavernous voices check out the King of Soul Blues Bobby Blue Bland ..she was sometimes accused of loving the sound of her own voice to much but when you have a voice like that...why wouldnt you?.....however the song i play the most is one of her most dispensable ...Lovers Concerto..its a square song and she sings it square but the sound of her voice is so gorgeous it makes you feel grateful to be alive ...its classic melancholy ..you feel so joyful and sad at the same time

Patrick. You love Sassy. You will love Ms. Joy. Please oh please. Please do some reactions to the brilliant young vocalist Samara Joy. It’s as if Sarah and Ella had a love child. That would be Samara. 25 years old 3 Grammys already Bringing jazz to a whole new generation. Yet hardly anyone is doing reaction videos of her.

Another great performance from the Divine One! Thanks for your wonderful reaction to her magnificent performance. I recommend that you react to Sarah Vaughan's live performance of "The Shadow of Your Smile" with the Bob James Trio in Sweden in 1967: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5TVamyAdrWoi5o and her live performance of "The More I See You" in 1963 at the Antibes Jazz Festival in France: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnOodWyCjLinp68
