When I was younger, I sang Send in the CLowns for lots of performances. THEN I heard Sarah Vaughan sing it on a PBS special. Mic drop - it was the definitive version. Never sang it again, lol! What a gift she was.

"The Divine One!" I wish I had been able to hear her in person. She is my favorite jazz singer of all time. Her range and interpretive gift is unparalleled. I wish this had been recorded so that I could have it in a better format, but I am grateful that it's on KZbin. I mouth the words and dedicate it to my husband who passed away of pancreatic cancer. I lost my voice but used to sing jazz. She influenced me more than anyone! Thank you!😀
