Hey Sarah. I’ve been off social media for a few years, except KZbin! The internet is on the verge of breaking. When you can’t trust what you see and hear due to AI and disinformation, gotta be vigilent and vote with your feet when you can. Also I’m an Aussie from Perth, Heath’s home town. What a sad loss of a wonderful man. Thank you Sarah for your candor. I look forward to more of this as well as your comedy. 😎 EDIT: I’m amazed at your wisdom regarding unpopular opinions and especially your smell the candle theory for inner validation!

Today I learned from Sarah: -What malignant capitalism is -The importance of not changing who you are based on who you are talking to -The dynamics of a family where one member’s emotions control everyone else, and how that’s T****.
@nicarazzi11 күн бұрын
I’d never heard anyone else talk about one family member controlling the conversation. My Mum was on her death bed with Dad and her 7 children (and some partners) sitting around her bed. I said something lovely and beautiful. Mum lay there stunned then looked to Dad then all around the room for validation of what I said was ok. There was a long silence then my sister suddenly said, yeah, that’s right. At the time I thought, finally, someone has validated what I’ve said - it’s been a long history of that silence. So anyway, it’s incredible to hear someone else, especially Sarah, talk about. And I didn’t know it was narcissism.

This was terrific, and yes, your voice is very calming, but if I dozed, I would just rewind, the beauty of youtube. My mom, sister, ex, and a daughter all have Borderline Personality Disorder. They lack empathy, are narcissistic, and suck the oxygen out of the room in their personal lives. They may be successful professionally, but don a different personality for work/ public consumption. This was lovely. Don't change a thing. And thank you for all you do to bring some humor to the awfulness we are all being subjected to. Cheers!

At 71 years old I call it like I see it and if that bothers someone they are people I do not be around anyway. One of my favorite love story movies is "Leap Year", it's a little thin but sweet. Thanks for the chat, take care. I haven't seen Brokeback Mountain in a long time. I remember it was a very powerful movie. I love KZbin. I'm 68 and I love that I can find almost any music I feel like hearing and I can watch lectures by professors in expensive college courses for free. I love that I find all sorts of interesting people who are talking about whatever they feel like lol and I enjoy the comments just as much as the videos sometimes! I love stand up and pretty much any kind of comedy and old sitcoms from the 70s or talk shows. It's great having all this at our fingertips and I'm American but have been living in Austria for a long time, so I can use messenger and text or talk to my family in the US any time for free. That's great! And it's also really great to find new music too cause when you get older if you aren't around much younger people, then you don't hear about new singers or groups or even actors. So welcome to my happy space Sarah! Have lovely weekend 🕊🍀🍀🕊

Hey there. I’m four days late watching this, so chances are pretty high that you probably won’t even read this, but here I go anyway. I had no idea what to expect when I clicked on this, and now that I’m finished, I’m glad I waited until very late in the day. After a very long and trying day - both emotionally and physically - you were so low-key and speaking quietly, that it was really soothing. Thank you. Needed. And I *love* that you talked about Brokeback Mountain. I had seen it, ohhhh, maybe a decade ago was the last time, and I recently re-watched it, too. Enjoyed your commentary and observations about it, and I totally agree with everything you said, including the fact that it was a truly magnificent movie, with fantastically casted actors. Yeah, ain’t it funny, and fascinating, the takeaways we get from a film, years later, after our age and experiences have greatly increased. I actually love looking for new little nuggets within a movie after many years have passed since my last viewing. It’s kind of a fun little game I play. Anyway, I could go on a lot more about films, in general, and how it affects our lives, but I’ve talked long enough. I’ll close by saying, thanks, I enjoyed this episode, and your voice was soothing to my soul tonight. Cool. And you’re cool. 💜

I LOVE rewatching movies and tv shows and seeing them with the new perspectives I have because of time and experience. Maybe that should be part of my podcast, rewatching stuff I haven’t seen in a while and seeing what hits different. I know that with Mad Men it took me until the 4th or 5th watch to hate Don Draper lol Thank you for listening! Glad it was soothing although I’ll probably need to up the energy for an actual podcast!

@@sarahcpr Well, hello there and good morning, Sarah. I just woke up to your message, and I cannot tell you how overjoyed and honored I am to see you took the time to respond to me. Thanks much. I like your idea, actually, and I would definitely tune into something like that. To give you an idea of my nerdiness, I’m a rabid TCM movie channel addict. My TV literally stays tuned to it from the moment I wake up until I crawl into bed; except for times where I veer away to watch a few other taped/DVR shows and movies, especially documentaries. So at this late point in my life, my brain is gleefully full of movies, movies, movies, which sometimes includes deep dives in studying them. It’s fun! Hope you’re having a lovely Wednesday, and thanks again for literally making my day. ☺🌷💜
