I was there for 7 nights last week to celebrate my 40th birthday and indeed NYC is much cheaper during the winter! I stayed at the Hyatt at Grand Central and the price I paid for 7 nights was incredibly cheap, compared to their regular price! I got to enjoy some of these special promos! Travelling in the winter is always a hit and miss situation because of the weather - you just never know if your'e gonna get snowed in or stuck somewhere, mother nature can be something that rhymes with rich

But in New york, you don't really get snowed in. The subway neglects snow, so going out during a snowstorm is really fun here since stores stay open like normal

Just got back from NYC with my kids and it was great! The weather wasn’t bad either; we’re from Texas and only had to put our coats on at night; the rest of the time we were fine in hoodies.

Thanks to your very informative videos, my wife and I had a great 1st ever visit to NYC two months ago. We stayed at the Midtown Hilton and had tons of stuff within walking distance. We saw a few stars entering our hotel as they were going to a ceremony that honored Harry and Meghan! All in our hotel! After Thanksgiving and before Christmas was a great time to go and see NYC lit up.

I was out in minus 15 C at Christmas when that storm arrived. I didn't think it was that bad as I was layered up. Till the wind caught you and then it was unbelievable. Ten seconds with no gloves on, hands went bright red/purple from the cold. Had a bottle of Coke Zero on a mesh pocket on my bag. It froze solid in 10 mins. Got some frost nip on my legs, nose and ears. It was still amazing though! I even braved the top open deck of a tour bus in that weather. That must have been minus 35-40 C with the wind chill.

Hotel prices are high in September and October because of the U.N General Assembly is meeting. That means delegations from around the world are taking up a lot of hotel rooms! You definitely want to deconflict from that schedule.
