Gideon Perkins yes it does. He uses his carbon cello with an extra string for some covers on his channel

Colin Guan Actually I think it's just the glare from his fingerboard since it stops where the fingerboard does and he never plays it.

I think the fifth string he's using is tuned in e', as it is more common and useful, but it could be the lower contra f string as well.

omg nooooo, so it froze over night and my house isn't that well isolated and that caused my cello to go out of tune completely, 3 out of 4 string aren't tuned anymore and I'm won't see my teacher for another two weeks....which means that I can't practice for my presentation in about 4 weeks.....there aren't any violin builders around where I live sooooo I'm stuck atm...

Oh no!! Now might be a good time to be brave and try to start tuning it yourself. Maybe watch a few tuning tutorials first though. It can be a scary experience.

Sarah Joy I had lessons today And my trachee tunes it for me but when I got home ma A string was out of tune again but I managed to tune it myself im So proud it may be a small step but that Will help me learn how to tune it nu ear
