I love how you did a "regular" day! I know when most youtubers do this they always make fancy stuff with loads of effort that is clearly not what you eat when you're starving or in a rush! 😋

your lunch is something i also eat often - my mom brought me home that same nutritional yeast from the UK,, we do not have that one here in SA, it is sooo good i love it on pasta and potatoes,, i am vegetarian runner and steering away from all animal products to the best of my ability so love this video thank you

Plan for 2021 year - more running than bicycling (952 kilometers of run since i started in october thanks to You and 14836 kilometers of bike ride in 2020 + 3250 kilometers e-bike ride) and, after this video - more healthly food! Literally make the same salad, chopped in that order!! Quick n easy. I just add a small squeeze of lemon after the balsamic and olive oil. Always have home roasted pine nuts in a jar so throw some of those or sunflower seeds on top after mixing it.

Hi Sarah! I am a Marathonee and planning my first ultra. Clicked on the video to get some take away and was “open” to how you eat. My jaw dropped and was so happy to see we eat Soooo incredibly Similarly. Found veganism a few years and I swear it has hugely supported my running. Loving your videos.

I had to go find those dark chocolate rice cakes on Amazon. xD. Thank you so much for sharing this Sarah. I love that it really was typical, and not far from what I end up with many days. The only thing I could really add to my diet is more salad. Other than that, very similar (and I run far fewer miles than you do). Thanks again! BTW, I came here from your London Tour run, and that was an amazing video, both for the views of London and for the info given. Thanks again. :)

As others have said, such a positive video in respect of food intake, as Joe S comments below once you start counting calories you can be cursed, it's very hard to stop counting! I should think I am one of your older viewers and have pretty much dieted off and on all my life so it's great to see this healthy, positive approach.

Sarah, I can heartily recommend Magpye vegan pies. I've had them a few times and also sent some to my sister in Brighton who is vegan (they got a chef's kiss of approval)

Branston Pickle and beans on a jacket potato is the single most British lunch you could have had. Thanks for doing a real what I eat in a day video. It's really important to be honest about your food.

It just goes to show how different people can thrive on different diets. For me I would require 3X the amount of protein and fat to just survive, cutting back to about half those carbs. I have been vegetarian for 40 years and that is just me. A friend of mine eats like you and does great. Thanks for the vid...

it's so good - i'd recommend the oatly ones that are refrigerated (they do an equivalent of whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed), it's so much nicer than the ones in the uht section!

Great video again Sarah, I'll have to give the malt loaf a try, isn't it a bit dry without any spread? Also, can you consider doing another strength and conditioning video maybe at intermediate level for moving onto after doing your first core workout?

Sarah, just watched this video and I loved how honest it was, with all your habits (snacking while cooking, definitely me too by the way!). What is nutritional yeast? I’ve not heard of that before. Is it for general health, or specific for running? Thanks for all the content you guys produce, especially the reviews, they’re a real inspiration

Nobody's answered this, so I will (or else google it). It has a lot of uses in cooking, not just for running nutrition. I first used it in making vegan cheese sauces, but have also used it as part of bread crumbs, or as salad topping. Can also put it in smoothies. Nutritional yeast: This yeast is grown specifically to be used as a food product. The yeast cells are killed during manufacturing and not alive in the final product. It is used in cooking and has a cheesy, nutty or savory flavor

ah i don't really know..! erm probably around 2L of actual water on its own and then a cup of coffee in the morning plus sometimes a tea or a shake in the afternoon?

Way healthier than me I get a doughnut and coffee after my run 😅 pro tip you should run your vita-mix at full power rather than low since it kicks on the fan and makes them last longer

Have your eating habits changed during the pandemic? I find that I dont run out to the grocery store to pickup one or two items anymore so meal planning takes more thought and deliberate planning

yes definitely. we always used to go to the shop every day pretty much without fail since we live right on top of one but that has definitely reduced recently and instead we just do a big shop every couple of weeks, fill the freezer and then just top up when we need to!

Hi Sarah, slightly random question but what milk frother & coffee machine do you use? I love a good latte or cappuccino and it would be great to be able to make a good quality one at home (I tend to use the sachet ones at the moment). Also have you tried different oat/nut milks do some froth up better than others? cheers! :-)

hey! the milk frother is called lavazzo modo mio and the coffee machine is just the basic nespresso one. and yes some non dairy milks don't froth at all! most of the refrigerated ones are good though, the non sweetened alpro ones work well but my fave is the oatly refrigerated semi or whole! so nice!!

hey gwen it's the petzl nao+, got it for christmas! it's a bit on the pricey side but its v bright and the red backlight is great. would also recommend the petzl bindi, or aktik if you don't need a backlight!

we are both very different and for me it very much depends on how hot it is! but generally if my run is less than 2 hours i won't bother taking anything
