25 things I want to USE UP in 2025... my plan to pan!

Be careful with older items. I just gave myself an eye infection with my old nabla singles (powder shadows). Usually I have just a little eye soreness and will throw out a palette or shadow (pretty rare). But it’s been worse this time. Continue to check smells and appearance, especially items around the eyes. I’ve definitely learned my lesson. 😢

This newer clean beauty items and brands don't have enough preservatives in it. I have old palettes and they are still good.

​@@Kristina-yr6xg i agree, this new idea of not putting preservatives in makeup (well have it in food, and we eat that, at least make-up just washes off) but if it goes bad quickly, they can sell you more and more... no more project pans, project 'spot the mould' before it gives you a sore eye!!!

Agreed. I’ve had my ABH modern renaissance palette for over 8-10 years (insane, I know) and it still performs well and I have no issues. I think it’s these newer brands that have these issues

For the uoma highlight you could consider using it on the collarbone during the holidays and maybe even the shoulders. Just a nice little glow.

I want to "pan" a perfume😂 I had it for so long, I love the scent but it reminds me of a time in life I was not doing well

Smells are Big memory joggers, if it was a bad time, give it away, you don't need to be reminded.... its not healthy for you. I can remember my mum, (always cooked from scratch) and I loved her vegetable soup, the smell of her hands after chopping all the vegetables, I like to put mu hands up to my face and breathe deeply when I've chopped a lot of veg, it reminds me of her and I feel she's close again 😢💔 it's better to smell things that have Good Memories ❤❤❤❤

I'm also planning to use up my face primers, because I realised that most of the time, my skincare is all I need for a base under my foundation. I especially want to get rid of the grippy primers because I don't particularly like how they feel on my skin.

Yes, i too think that skin prep is enough, unless I'm going to a day event (like a wedding or something) and you want the make-up to look good for a long time, then I use a drippy primer and a setting spray

You could tight line your upper waterline with the black eyeliner to use it up, just adds some definition to your lash line !!

Yay so excited for you to do no pan left behind. I had so much fun doing that this year and I also did this with new items so I broke the habit of just acquiring and letting things sit and it was fun! I will also be aiming for 25 in 2025 and like you trying to target lips, eyeliners and more pans! Most categories I want to have 1 leave and I also have a 2 out 1 in rule.

That’s a lot of products and I commend you for doing that many! I am getting ready to declutter so many things because I find I don’t use makeup probably half the days of the month and I’ve greatly simplified the looks I do when I do wear makeup. I’m just over the whole overconsumption phase of life and ready to get rid of stuff-not just makeup.

You need to use the milk primer with waterbased foundations like nars reflecting foundation.

I think I’m going to do a 6 month no-buy for lips and do a lip project pan. I have soooo many and I end up using up the ones I like, but then I buy more and don’t use what I have.

Love the nails and nose ring (is that new or am I blind?)! Glad you are returning to panning more next year. I usually have too many project pans going at once so end up feeling like I’m not accomplishing enough. So I may take this approach also- 25 items plus a no pan left behind.

My ELF Halo Glow says 12 months. I got the new shade .5 whenever it was that they extended the shade range, so I guess they changed it around that time.
