My dad was posted in leh for 3 years....so I know a few things..... more over I'm from j&k(leh was under j&k) so a few tips:- 1. Take vitamins c tablet when u land 2. Try not to trek and Rome atlest for a day, try to cope up with ur oxygen tablets 3. BP can fluctuate so don't forget ur tablets. 4. Be in touch with ur doctor. I'm not a doctor but just a few tips.hope it helps

I am a travel agent hence I can advice you first day Ladakh is always to be resting in hotel and eating. Don't opt for sightseeing on the first day it becomes worst. Please dear get well soon you are a brave brave girl 💗

After watching countless "people go missing on vacation tour" videos on KZbin (like that one couple who perished at sea after their diving group left them) and this, I am now convinced one infact needs to be extra careful when going with tour groups even though it might appear safer than travelling alone. Because the organizations having done their job day in day out just take everything as matter of fact and assume everyone knows and can follow the routine, which is obviously bad practice. But it happens quite often. At the end of the day, they don't care, they just leave you on your own and go on with their itinerary. When you're on your own, you're bound to research more, or stay with a local who'll have their whole attention on you, unlike you just being a spec in a group of people.

Sorry to say but the travel agent should have made you guys rest on the first day or atleast till first half on arrival day to adjust yourself with the oxygen level there...You guys covered 2-3 locations on the same day which is not recommended by any tour guides and locals as well...Also,slow pace walking is the key..Even i learned this little hard way but i was able to adjust and enjoy my remaining tour ....Hope you get well soon ☺️

I recognised the black dog near Shanti stupa ...he has a almost white buddy and a uncle who take care of them usually sits around . I visited the place in 2018 ....it's serenity....no words can explain it.but we were not breathless in leh ...we could only feel it in pangong , changala pass and khardungla. Also I was born in leh as my dad was posted in leh then .so it was dream to travel back to this place after college

Take care Sarah. We too drove down to Ladakh from Bangalore to Ladakh.. It was a random trip and that too in Honda City (with low ground clearance 😂).. People were so excited here seeing a Honda City in Ladakh as normally people don't take such cars up here.. And yes, breathing issues are real. I struggle everyday here, its been a month now. 😍

Okay first thing first - you are supposed to take *complete* rest on the day you reach leh! I don't know why that travel agency didn't tell you that and you visited three places which included climbing..instead you people should have strolled through the leh market in the late afternoon for the day..then you all wouldn't have struggled so much with the breathlessness..

I went to ladakh in december... we used to wear 3 jackets and phir bhi thand lagti thi ! muze bhi medicines leni padti thi and muze kisi bhi food a proper taste nhi ata tha! And pangong lake pae toh nose mai se bleeding hoti thi + 1 din me 17 baar vomit while sitting in the car..... but still it is the best place i have ever been too... take care of yourself sara.....
