Thank you so much for saying how long it takes you to do something like this and how long you have been a tech!! I can’t tell you how much relief it gives me!! The place I work at there is another tech that seems to think I should be slinging out sets in an hour!! Mind you she does everything totally different than me, and she wants me to omit prepping steps that I believe are important and it’s just really discouraging. So it’s so nice to see that other techs that have been doing this for a while take time to do their sets as well!!! Thanks again!

Hey I’d say normal timing. this took me two hours and 20ish mins. Only took faster because I used tips instead of sculpt. Tech 14 years I charge a base rate of $85CAN a set no matter what and removals would cost an extra $10 if the client asked for the removal with new set but I wanted to remove as the design needed to be clear - she gave me $105CAN

An hour is completely unrealistic. it takes me 30-45 just to file down and prep as that’s the most important step.

@@SarahsNailSecrets wow thank you so much for replying!! You don’t know how much relief it gives me and the encouragement I get from these comments!! I get time is money and as long as you are charging for your time then I don’t see the problem. This other tech seems to think that because I charge 75$ USD for a new full set of one solid color acrylic and two glitter accent nails that I’m charging to much?? Do you think that is too much? I did a backfill design today and the girl wanted full nail all glitter on every finger, with two different color glitters, also with 1 repair I didn’t have to file down as much because the colors covered her previous colors, and it took me 2 and 10 mins, and I charged her 65$ and got a 10$ tip since we completely changed the whole design and colors. Would you say that is to much or not enough? It took me about an hour to file them down and do her prep and then fix her repair, then another hour and a little bit to redo the set and finish file and all that.

@@bjessee9855 I charge $75 for one color design I have my price list in www.nailthrone.com if you want to see I dont have full and fill pricing I have one set price goes up for length. Yesterday I did a set in 1h 30 mins still charges $85 and she tipped $20. Nail techs all need to up their prices then it will just be the normal
