I want a black feminist, aka womanist (this term was coined by Alice Walker I think, and bell hooks, is an excellent example). I don't want a masculine woman, I'm just not attracted to masculinity. But we need to respect these women and the womanist ideology of equality and respect should not be a problem to a good man. Moreoever, Womanists affirm black men in their ideology, so there is really no reason for we men to not support them, unless we are on some bullshit.

@@HeronimousPhunk I totally agree. I want a feminine not a masculine woman, all day, every day Here's where I respectfully disagree with your post. You say you want a black feminist OR a womanist. The two are not the same although they are almost always mentioned in the same breath. "How so? " You might ask. Simple. The agendas are different. The agenda of feminism is to usurp the white Male power structure, in other words retain the status quo that oppresses all non white citizens of this country and replace it with women. BLACK Womanism's agenda is to address the two main problems that black women face in this country and I'd venture to say worldwide, that is RACISM and SEXISM. I can respect the Black womanist but not the feminist nor the black feminist. You say that the aforementioned affirms the black man's ideology. First let's identify said ideology. What is it? I'd like your thoughts. The answers may vary, according to who you ask. But I can affirm, that the black feminist does NOT affirm nor support whatever ideology the black man has because at its core a black feminist is a FEMINIST and a feminist has no good intentions for the white man and certainly none for the black man....
@HeronimousPhunk
@HeronimousPhunk 5 жыл бұрын
@@damonfleming6282 The term womanist was developed to organize the Black Feminism of the 70s/80s. Many intellectual black women saw that they took the back seat in both the civil rights and black power movements, as well as the so-called feminist or woman's liberation movement, which they exposed as being only about the interests of white women. I think we agree in that. I don't give too much power to words because what really matters is the mind that uses them. I certainly don't regard all feminists as anti-white male. I have seen that, but I don't think that is the universal truth of feminism. The core of feminism is the moral and ethical equality of women with men. There are white male practices that definitely oppress white women along with all the other folks white men have oppressed. But there is also the oppression of women in black spaces. I grew up in a black church. I have seen the black male preachers who are really blood suckers of the poor and exploit the faith of mostly female congregations. Instead of women being regarded as the servants and help mates of men, women should be shown the respect of having their own purposes and are deserving of support in fulfilling those. It can be difficult to find harmony, but we should strive for harmonious relationships where both partners are respected and supported. I look to the ideals of harmony in Kemet and hope to find an intelligent black woman who can honor our ancestors and inspire our children. Peace and Respect to you

My sister you’ve hit it right on the nail in so many ways EXCEPT for your views on the Bible. If you truly study the Bible, you will find out that women are held is high regard and with much respect. I raised my daughter on my own as a single father while teaching her biblical morals and values as well as true Black history and real social issues. It’s not being religious but it’s being enlightened. It’s not White teaching because stories out of the Bible deal a lot with people in the Middle East and/or North Africa including Cush/Punt...... I hope you open your eyes and heart to this and if there is anything I could do to help you with understanding these dynamics more (with much sincerity and respect) please let me know. One love beautiful sister.

The Bible is not the only book containing/teaching moral and values. There are other texts or traditions that do the same, some much older than the bible such as Confucianism, some in other places like the Yoruba religion in Nigeria. I teach my son be a humanist and to use evidenced based decision making. See street epistemology by Anthony Magnabosco you tube videos.

Yeah, sometimes I click on videos thinking they'll tell me what I want to hear too. And that's one of the biggest problems with some of today's females. They stopped caring what men want. They care more about how other women view them, as if they're trying to attract and marry other women. Hopefully, they wake up before their ability to reproduce dries up. Because I said "some women". Not all. Some women do want to be desired by men.

Sister, as a christian, I think it would be a service to your audience if you could do a break down of Proverbs 31: 10-31, "The Virtuous Wife." I think you'll find this depiction of a "Strong" woman to be favorable. It might help men understand what to look for and give women a model to emulate. You may have done so already, but a refreshing is always beneficial.
@kaisaiku
@kaisaiku 5 жыл бұрын
@tea marks If we are talking about a good strong woman and what men think I welcome any text that not only empowers the woman and shows her in a positive light, but also shows how she is a benefit and blessing to everyone around her. The reason I defer to text is because it's very easy to lose your heritage or cultural practices to societal changes without any kept record of best practices to reference. The reason I "cite" the christian bible is because it's the only book of practices I know that I can use as a guide on how to live a respectable life as I have never read the Quran or other such texts and it's not really taught in school. If you have a different example I am open to learning. Also, It is true that everyone is not a christian, but I think it is arrogant to discount any knowledge that can be used to your benefit without investigation.
@kaisaiku
@kaisaiku 5 жыл бұрын
@tea marks I don't know of the things which you spoke, but if they'll help women find men that want them and vice versa I'm always open to learning. I'm merely expressing that there are women who seem to believe that men don't want a powerful woman. I suggest they find men who practice a belief that favors commitment and upholds the strength of a woman and shines a light on her true power. Peace be unto you.

@ryanjorden7594
@ryanjorden7594 5 жыл бұрын
@@ciphbudd7102 generally as men age and mature their sexual market value increases due to the above mentioned as well as their financial & social status, and their developed and mature physique. Theoretically a man's sexual market value peaks between approximately 30-35, and only begins to decline in his mid to late 40s. Unless he has wealth which indicates resources as many women forgo physical attraction for financial security. However, women's sexual market value start to decrease roughly after the age range of 25-29 and dramatically begans to nosedive after turning 30. They are generally at their peak from 21-25. This is due to their physically attractive features as well as their prime fertility years. That's where the term "the wall" comes from. As they age their looks fade and their eggs age. Women make the mistake by projecting their perspective onto men. They think what they look for in a partner meets the same criteria for men. Women look for resources and protection. The best mate to father their children. Men simply look for physically appealing, loyal, and nurturing partners to mother their children. Men falsely get upset at women for seeking a mate to provide protection and resource, while women falsely get upset at men for choosing attractive and feminine women. It's in our nature but many people are ignorant of that. That's why they say men age like wine while women age like milk

The words I say are not to be disrespectful, whatever your spirituality. I know your studies in scripture, like many others, is wrong. Men are to lead their women as we head the family. Their is a hierarchy, like a job but your boss can’t to whatever he wants. Their are regulations, rights, and responsibilities. Plus the boss is only one person; they don’t have all the varied skills that are dispersed among all the employees. We all contribute in our own unique way. Women are also men’s mercy, as God pitied man for his loneliness, which means you are our compassion. Just because their is a hierarchy between the sex’s it doesn’t mean one is worthless. We are equivalent, there is no such this a equal, as we bring different aspects to one unit that is Family. As more men come into the knowledge, they’ll be forced to let go of the modern misinterpretations forced upon us. Peace😊
@SaraLena
@SaraLena 5 жыл бұрын
The Red Comet As you mean no disrespect, neither do I. No such thing as equal, indeed. We were not created to be equal, but to balance each other. Man can do what women can’t, women can do what men can’t. Everything that masculine isn’t, feminine is, and vice versa. If there is one over the other, there is no balance. But as I said in the video, those that are religious, typically can’t grasp the concept of masculine/feminine balance in higher than their scriptures allow...because the scriptures do not speak of masculine/feminine balance. That is not my misinterpretation, that’s just a fact.
@27aowilliams
@27aowilliams 5 жыл бұрын
Sara Lena I once studied these interpretations from the various African shamanistic and Eastern polytheistic practices scattered about. Just as the original forms of these beliefs had their ideologies interspersed in their ancient text, and not just listed, so too does scripture. But it’s proper categorizing and practices have been hidden for many reasons. One reason it’s hard to understand what scripture dictates, is due to the current translations that are tampered with and out of context with today’s inferior language(modern English). Now I am not a follower of any current religion, Hebrew Israelite, or cult; but a man of a people who are coming to. I do believe you have that “spark”, that drives our people to truth. We disagree now but keep my words regardless, they may help you in the future. Peace 🙂

It's also silly when women talk about how many "educated" black women are out there they fail to take into account the fact that most women get degrees in fields that don't pay that much as well as the fact that these women have higher levels of debt due to getting more degrees and advanced degrees. A woman with a $80k salary but $120k worth of student loan debt and $10k in credit card debt is hardly killing it financially compared to the guy without a degree who has no debt and a $60K income

I made sure that my wife had a investment property that brings in $1000 after the mortgage is paid before I married her. I wanted her to be secure to feel that she had enough to support herself and a child if I were not around. I felt that she subconsciously were dealing with a fear of being a single parent if I left her. I did not plan to leave but I wanted to give her something that would allow her to feel "strong" and secure. So I agree with you.. real MEN want a strong woman because a real MAN knows that he will rise no higher than his woman. As long as MAN uplifts woman he uplifts himself.

I love all your. videos I hope all women and men are taking notes. Hopefully things can get back to what it used to be and black home and family’s can stop being destroyed by society . And black men and black women can see its only a trick to stop us from procreating the world doesn’t want us to even be together they want us to leave our black queens at any cost as long as we run away from black women and not reproduce and stop working it out they win instead we run away . This is what society wants no more reproduction of black people that why they hate us so much they use our own black queen against us and we go running like little boys So what if a women doesn’t submit at first or she stop 1 communication is everything tell her what she is doing wrong. Don’t just walk away and leave and don’t come back for hours and think everything Okay Lack of communication is the top reason black couple are having problems with Masculinity Yes more black women are Not submissive they are very angry but I see past that I see pass that wall and i still love them for who they are cause I know the devil is at work. I just have to work a little more on her and not give up on her and have patience with her currently I don’t have this problem cause I didn’t run away like most men are doing which only going to make more women masculine 2 if she still not submissive if any man believe in our great king Jesus prayer works 3 if she still not submissive if you have a pastor even if you don’t go to church that often any pastor if they free will be glad to help take her with you no real women will decline I trip to Church And let the pastor be the immediator Even if the relationship is new or a few months in this approach has helped a lot of women get reprogram on the laws based off the word of god not what society wants PLEASE BLACK MEN WE HAVE TO STAND WITH OUR BLACK QUEEN IN THIS TIME OF NEED DONT JUST GIVE UP THAT WHAT 1 THE DEVIL WANTS 2 SOCIETY DOES not WANNA SEE HAPPY BLACK HOMES OR FOR US TO REPRODUCE ANYMORE BLACK BABY ITS ALL A TRICK PLEASE BELIEVE ME THANKS FOR LISTENING

I think your interpretation of the Bible is flawed or incomplete. Putting the fantastical elements of Christianity aside, I recognize that the Bible can be best used as a moral guidebook. When it speaks of submission, I don't take it as submitting to something incorrect. It states that there is God, man, and then woman. Both man and woman are to adhere morally although the man is the leader. I don't believe that the Bible says that a woman should submit to her husband's immoral decisions. Therefore, the woman should be on board even if a man wasn't there to remind her or teach her if she is lacking. If a woman is unwilling to submit to what she knows is right or what she can't understand (leaning on her trust in his moral character), she is an immoral woman and disobedient to her man and to God.

Hello Sara, I have been promoting your vlogs because many are incredible and echo my sentiment on many subjects. In fact, I just sent this video to my wife and a few of her friends b4 I listened to the first half of this video. You are super intelligent, I'd appreciate an opportunity to comment on a few misconceptions. Ephesians 5:21 - 26 Starts out talking about how we (men/women) should submit to each other. It ends with the husband giving his life for his bride. The bible says, there is no love greater than that of laying down your life for another. Jesus didn't just die for people who were nice to him, he died for people that hated him too. I am a Spirit filled, blood bought, child of the Most High God, but I don't think a man is superior over a woman. Our roles are, however, different. There is one reason God distinguished between the roles of headship and submission is not dominance, it was to prevent relationships from becoming gridlocked by opinions. In the event that the marriage would be put dissolved, he gave the man the final authority to determine which way the marriage should proceed. That authority is not merely, I do what is best for me or my desires, it is intended to preserve the family, which sustains society, and ensures another generation is replaces the previous one, and His divine order. At the very end of it all, God will judge a man more harshly than a woman for the decisions he made, because man is accountable to God. Last thing: Check out how God explains his divine order of accountability through the example of the first sin. Satan deceived Eve, and Eve persuaded Adam to eat the forbidden fruit. God started the question with the person who gave charge over the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed Satan. God then went backwards with the sovereignty of his judgement. Satan, you will crawl on your belly as the lowest creature created. Eve, because you were the incubator of the deception that encouraged you husband to sin, you will not only have a painful birth process, but you will desire the power and position of authority that I have given your husband Adam, but he will "rule over you." And Adam, the one I gave the command and authority, to be the head, you listened to your support, and harkend to her sensuality over my sovereign will. So you will work your "tale" off and get little an unfair exchange for your labor. And you are going to die! Their spirits died first, and intellect took its place of headship, God ONLY communicates with the spirit of a man. Before that, God provided everything for Adam and Eve. It had never even rained before they sinned. So headship is not just about power, it is about submitting to a higher power. JESUS submitted to Will of His Father! Submission didn't make him less than ANY of the Trinity, no more than the yoke of an egg makes it any less a part of the Egg (Yolk, White Part of the Egge, and the Shell of the Egg). All three together becomes the "EGG". The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit = GOD. Submission is required to establish authority which prevents Kaos. God bless, Sista! Carlton

Like the video. But the bible doesn't credit woman for original sin. In the bible, God made a covenant with Adam. Adam fell short. He didn't address EVE. God didn't confront them until Adam disobeyed. But still, good video.

Big facts right here. All of your thoughts were very introspective, well thought out, exuded passion and validity and were eloquently conveyed. I really enjoy the fact that your approach is uncompromising and very justified with ideas that are complimentary to alot of different views or angles. Your femininity and passion for a successful Black community is so welcoming. And a message to some of my belligerent bruthas and sisters, it's perfectly acceptable to respectfully disagree with some of these idealisms, but listen with an open and receptive mind. Finding fault just for namesake and becoming easily offended only leads to misconstruing the ultimate purpose which is to unite us. I dig your message and mission sis.

I really like your concept! However you really don't fully understand the Bible! The Bible does teach man is head in creative order,but does not teach that women are inferior!. Thus the teaching of the Virtuous Woman Proverbs Chapter 31 beginning at verse 10. Absolutely not. Just as a Queen is not equal to a King but a counterpart for the King to add balance;so to the Bible teach man to woman, Husband to Wife. Neither does the Bible teach nor hint that the origin of sin comes from woman. For it says "Wherefore by one man sin entered into the World;and death by sin,and so death passed unto all men,for that all have sinned! The Bible also not a Religious Book and definitely does not come from Maa't. This is an historical fact that is truly learned over seas of which I have had the privilege.

I saw the "When a feminist asked me to join" video over a year ago via Facebook and gave big ups then. As soon as I knew that was you who posted that I subscribed instantly, if for no other reason. As far as this video, when you were going through the bullet points, I was saying "yep...yep...exactly". Growing up, I was told about relationships only through the perspective of females and religion. As a 43 year old man, it took the repercussions of holding on to the Truth within over conforming to one I initially thought was a "God-send" to speak up on this male perspective. It also took my back being up against the wall as far as bare necessities and seeing Father God still Work with me after letting religion go for me to say that "Father God Is Real (too much Proof to say otherwise) but all religions are man-made". Anyway, thank you for adding to the Clarity I begged Father God for throughout the process and please keep posting. Much respect to you and yours.

Nice commentary sister Sara, but you have the Bible a bit backwards. It do mention woman from man and the order is man first but not degrading women. Women have had major roles in the book. Your name is one of the major women in the book - Sara (Which actually you are a descendant daughter of if you study). You have Esther and very powerful female in the book and she has your likeness in appearance (skin color, hair texture and all) if you study it. And that slave stuff was a total different narrative that the so-called white man used against us. It was never meant for beating and Trans Atlantic slave trade. And the book is not about the white man and your description of the main character is opposite of what you mentioned. It mentions a man with hair of Pure Wool and dark skin (that is not the description of a pale man with stringy hair) Study it a bit more. The book is meant for one group of people and they are not so-called white nor modern day Arab if you study real history. It mentions a people with a visage (meaning appearance) darker than a coal. Why would a stringy hair pale face write a book about a person and people that dont look like them.

His word is flawless and perfect its not white, black or brown. God has no color at all a if your taking your own perspective on it thats cool. I just dont think you see things the way you should. Everythings black this and that its not about black in white you make it yhat way as so do whites or hispanics & asians etc. People get things all mixed up on who really is the superior race there is None thats what the Devil wants you to think every race is equal the devils inflence on people makes them think that way. Its sad cause children teach us adults how to get along and we teach them to dislike or hate another race by saying, something mean or unthoughtful about them cause thats either what we believe is right or someone else taught us that as its sad that people always putting face on race color and how one acts . A smart woman always gets What she want a stupid one gets into fights with her man. Men want a partner that knows when to check him and when not to Its all in how you do it and how much you know your partner and vis versa. Men dont like the term powerful woman Its to domineering. A man gives you power in that he ask for your advice, imput, etc but for most woman thats not enough. Dont let things go to your head if you are smarter in somway than he is in diffrent areas just go with the flow. Mr authentic we are all the same color is something people "focus on way way tooo much" we all bleed red insides are the same. The only thing that are diffrent are eye color and skin tone and your veiw, and attitude towards someone of another ethnicity or race and that's ignorance to keep bring up how black are the Kings of the earth, God is the king men that where kings most of them where good but most of them wherent what im trying to say is that everyone or race gos threw the same thing the other race does just in a diffrent way. Pople always want to be a Kings or Queens but lack real wisdom to be that type of person it take humlity,loyalty,honest, love,justice,wisdom power, and goodness towards all not just there own racr of people. If your the captain of a football team and our a cummy leader you team reflects your leadership eveyone wants to lead in sime way form or fashion but most do want to really listen and take a step back and look at how what they say effects others as well as themseleves. Making this about color is a crutch. Or being black it the people you surround yourself with that's what's going to make the difference or not. Every country has something wrong with it people try to rely on other people for guidance but don't look to God or a higher being for a solution to the problem. Man can direct his own step jer 10:23. Only he can .

Your speaking nothing but the truth!!! I love the black woman as a whole. But have had difficulty finding the right black woman because of the masculinity that a lot black women have picked up and abandoned their strong feminine nature which turns me completely off regardless of beauty, intellect, or accomplishments. Which makes it hard to communicate and bring out the best in each other. Relationships start to feel like rivalry rather than partnerships. The lack of taking responsibility for ones actions, decisions and some take for granted what a real man brings to with preset notions that all black men aren’t shit. Me personally I want to treat my woman as queen but only if I’m treated and respected as King.

"Kings want a Queen to balance him out." What more needs to be said? I agree with everything you stated. The Biblical studies on marriage tries to justify the man being the head, but you are correct in stating that women are looked at as slaves, or property, in those Biblical studies. I've always been attracted to strong, intelligent, creative black women. Black Girl Power is quite useful in the struggle. I have come across these masculine women, who felt they had to take on that masculinity due to the fact that their children's father was not there to do that for them. As a people, not every family has been able to maintain their marriages, or even get married in the first place before having children. Men have dropped the ball by disappearing. My own biological father did the same. I believe you speak on that subject in other videos. I can't state what a powerful impact to my life my step-father has been. He is my real father. He is a good man who showed me what it means to be a leader, a father and a good man. It is because of him and my strong, intelligent, beautiful black mother that I am able to recognize the difference between a strong woman and one who is angry due to the pain of her past. Because every man they met before me either cheated, left them with children, or tried to dominate them physical, emotionally or psychologically. There needs to be a class in middle school that teaches how to have a successful relationship that starts with a partner. Black men need to educate themselves and love our women through the pain for which we are collectively responsible. Your videos are a Godsend. You do great work and or appreciated.

What's cool is how puzzle pieces, to click together properly, without both sides having curves that make them compatible. Yes, one piece is the outtie piece and the other is the innie, but when there are nonsexual relationships, we have to remember that on the other side of each piece has an innie and outtie respectively. How pictures (Families) are made. Why males fail, is what you described at the end. Unnecessarily trying to be dominant over everyone else. The fault is not just on women. If we actually looked at balancing ourselves, realizing our individual strengths and weaknesses in any environment and stopped applying ridiculous standards, we might be ok. Both sides should stop and analyze the reasons behind their internal feelings. I would want a lady who's lethal, but also graceful, kind and understanding. One who knows what matters or has a refined idea of what that is to her and knows how to express it. Good talk. Only tripe is "Black and White" classifications. Would be great if these classifications are eliminated and something "new" is created in the process. What name do "Black" people have for themselves? What new tribes could emerge? What will they work toward?

I have absolutely no issue with successful black women. I personally think my melanated queens touch on anything they magnify!! But not if it means male suppression. I cannot agree with black women who use their education, status, and money to condemn him down to worthlessness especially if he isnt matching in those aspects but he is making a living and he is a good man. Aside from that there are systematic reasons why more than likely the black man isnt quote on quote "equally yoked" as a lot of sistas say. The thing a lot of women dont understand a man doesn't care about your success, your degrees or certifications, how much money u make we want a intellectual equal but not someone that will bring us down. Lets lift each other up i feel whatever u want is fine as long as were on the same path.

Is there a place where black people with healthy mindsets economically and family-wise actually exist in the us ? Or do we need to create one again because of the extent of our family deconstruction.

I just wanna say thank you. I wish back in the day I had the guts to express what you just said. I've always been for a strong powerful intelligent beautiful woman with a sense of humor and loves life. Most of the women I've attracted in the past came off as the masculine controlling type. That's why we never lasted long. I'm married to someone who embraces her femininity while having all the good qualities you stated. Once again, thank you so much for speaking on this subject. Peace.

Thank you sis. We need more of you to step up and say these things. This societal onslaught on us is very tiring and this message helps to continue.

I told the same in my video, many man confused about natural female agression and interpret it as masculine. It's not masculine, is that she able to survive if the man not around or unable to protect her, as well doesn't just accept any male authority, which is actually better for man as she won't submit just for anybody. Men on this so called manosphere completely show lack of understanding of female nature. My girl is this strong type, and strong man doesn't want weak woman I am telling you all. She submit to me, and its just makes her value higher to actually keep her in my team.

I love this message Sis! Thank you so much for posting this. I especially loved your view on the "Beta male". I totally agree with you. I grew up with a lot of Beta males in schools, and my neighborhood in D.C. and they have the same characteristics of what you said. Once again, thank you for posting... Peace

7:00 is the reason why some ngga be fed up or why we have an uneasy edge to us that women may think we are bitter or seeking pity. But we are not. It’s just different for a Black Man coming up.

Yes I have left three "educated successful balck woman" because she could not, would not converse about intellectual and empowering subjects for my self for my house and family, yes they hold me back. Financially independent and actually interested in helping me to be more successful and full fill my masculine rolls. Standing behind me would be too easy and does not tickle the need for dramatic addiction.
