I interpreted her, “I don’t think I am pretty” statement as “I am just me” since “pretty” is different to everyone. She’s confident in who she is as a person. She likes what she likes, and she’s comfortable with herself inside and out. She focuses on what SHE likes, not what other people or society’s standards are for her. Again, she’s focused on HER personal preferences and interests. I think when you’re younger you THINK you’re doing things for yourself and you THINK you know what you like but you’re still figuring that out and truly trying to determine what your personal preferences are versus doing what is acceptable for other people. However, some people never gain the confidence or the ability to embrace themselves. I hope anyone reading this builds that confidence. There’s no one in this universe exactly like you and no one before you was ever like you. You’re limited edition/one of a kind. It’s 1000% okay to embrace that.

Honestly I feel her. Whenever I tell people that I’m not pretty, people go like “no you are pretty!!” (I’m really not) but like that’s really not what I value or put a great amount of importance on. I REALLY just don’t CARE I like being myself and I don’t feel myself pressured to look pretty for others. So people stop tryna ‘make’ me pretty 😔🙏 Although I like putting makeups on since it’s fun styling myself :)

I guess she said it herself later in the video. She dresses up and spends time on herself, for herself. It is a self-love practice when you know where you can better yourself time after. Better appearance doesn’t alway mean pretty. It could be anything from feeling cute, clean, and carefree kind of. I’m not arguing here, but I feel like I understand her perspective, and yours too.

I love that you just are yourself, I really have to learn from that because I hate myself a lot, I was abused mentally and physically in school for 10 years long, dropped out when I was 14 developed because of that ptsd, anorexia, dissociative amnesia, severe anxiety,paranoia , panic, low self esteem, chronic stress which makes me physically sick pretty fast. I’m a young adult now, no job, no contacts, nothing. I’m still trying to find what my style is but because of my stress I get sick a lot so I can’t eat which makes me underweight and skinny I hate how my body looks and I hate my face and my life. Honestly I know I have a long way to go and I know it’s going to be difficult but I can’t seem to figure out who I am.
