Why The DJI Action 5 Pro Beat My Expectations

Looking for advice not had an action cam since my gopro hero 5 and looking for something new. I’ve seen the action 5 pro but im like the extra bells and whistles that comes with the 360 x4. Primary use with my MTB but will be used for holidays, family etc. what would you say are the pros and cons are for both of these product? Thanks

Hey! Both cams are awesome, but if you wanna keep it simple and still get killer shots, the DJI Action 5 Pro is the way to go - but the Ace Pro 2 is awesome too. The 360 X4 is cool for those epic moments, but it might be a steep learning curve if you're new to 360. Its also more fragile with those lenses. @@PocketCamsyeah don’t have any experience with 360 videos but I do have quite a bit of experience with editing standard video. 360 does look a challenge but I like the thought the extra pazza from a 360. I’ll defo check out the other videos, thanks again mate

The DJI "Osmo" was their original gimbal camera made back in late 2015.

Great review thank you ! How the front facing screen . It’s small so I’m concerned about ability to see it well ? I’m looking into the insta360 ace pro 2 because of its bigger screen.

Of course, the Ace Pro 2 is MUCH bigger and easier to see. I didn't find the smaller front screen on the Action 5 to be a problem for framing - maybe for finer details, you'd struggle a bit more. And thank you - hope to see you around lots on this channel :)

I have no problems with the action 5 apart from the white balance like snow, do you think DJI will fix this soon?

No way of me knowing - though DJI does seem pretty responsive to fixing errors found by their user community. Have you logged the issue with them?

I'm still maxed out on camera. Funny, I saw your "Moonlighting" clip. I just included a "Die Hard" blip in a video. Hah, we go Bruce Willis on the brain. Did you make the spinning camera with the text or did you get that from DJI?

No, that was from a DJI trailer - and yes, what's happening with Bruce Willis on the brain? I'm impressed you recognised Moonlighting though. I thought that would be a bit niche.

That's possibly true. I haven't owned any of the previous Action series.

Very little difference now, they always tweak with updates.. Ps. I use D-log and process in the app.
