From my pesonal exp- Daily running low hai to petrol scooter best hai. E-scooter start me to bohot acha lagega (paise nhi dene pad the) par 3 saal baad jab 40000rs ki battery change krni padegi tab smajh aata hai. Cons of Ebike - High ownership cost No service centre available(kahin khadi ho gayi to koi mechnic chuta bhi nhi hai) Battery replacement is way to high(40000 ka tel nhi dalwa k chaloge) 0 to nill resale value (jab bechne jao to motor ghis chuki hoti hai, battery replacement karwao) koi nhi lega purani motor aur battery wali scooter except kabadi wala. New motor aur battery ko kharidne se acha new bike lele Personal Exp -They promise e-bike will run same for 3-4yrs but after 1yr battery capacity and scooter speed will start dropping. Pehle agar ek charge par 50km chale jate the to aab bas 40 jayegi next yr usse bhi kam. At last 3-4yr baad rengna suru kar degi. Petrol wali me kabhi bhi 10-15saal baad bhi 1Ltr oil dalo aur ghum aao.

One factor you forgot to consider is the subsidies state and central government are offering for purchasing EVs. For scooty you can save close to 15-30k by taking subsidies. Still overall a very helpful video

I think being a student I would also prefer EV scooter. 10 km a day would be maximum a student would use a scooter. Unless his school is very far from house.

my monthly running is 500 kms ( 20km per day X 25 days = 500) , my new Suzuki access gives 60kmph, electricity price is Rs. 10/ unit in Punjab, petrol rate is Rs. 95/ litre approx. Running cost comes out to approx. 0.5 for electric, 1.5 for petrol. My break even will come in 10 years. That's why i didn't bought ev. No good brand ev, tvs, bajaj, ather is available in my city. torque and power doesn't matter in city traffic, bumper to bumper. i cannot charge an ev from my first floor home,. i have a rented home, therefore cannot instal fixed charger of ev. not sure of resale value, and battery life of ev. i think ev is still a far fetched dream, we need greater efficiency, battery life, charging time, charging options,

I m using Okinawa Praise Ev Scooter and within 2 years I have completed 35000kms usually I charge my scooty for 24 rs and I get near about 200km of range till now I have saved the price of 75-80000rs in fuel now you tell what is beter option then EVs😁

I have amper (electric bike )using since 8years , today it's in bad condition (plastic body so) replaced battery 3times cost (15k each time ) gives 40km per charge (charging time 8to 10hrs )

I have Hero Optima HX City. It's price was 68000 on road including insurance. Experience is very good for single rider and it's safe range is around 60Km. Speed is 42km/hr which is enough for me. EV gives you a different experience as you will hear the sound of nature and you will enjoy the ride with loved ones. Drive to feel it❤️. I bought it in February and till date no service or maintenance was required. I drive it in rainy season too and it gave me much confidence that weather is not an issue for EV. Metre reading is 1600 kms. Suspension is Okish. Under seat storage is ok, full helmet will not fit but small helmet can.👍🏻 Advice - Please keep charger with you all the time.

Maintenance of petrol scooter will be much higher..the engine oil n other maintenance is high.. electric is less..you should consider TVS iqune n Bajaj Chetak.. equation tilts in favour of electric

I agree with you. Ola looks more promising. Khud ke vehicles ke documents (specially yearly insurance, pollution) and periodic maintenance ka alag hi tension. Fir battery ki cost dekho and utne kilometer chalne ke liye battery charging cost dekho. 2. Fir utne kilometer chalne ki petrol cost and service cost dekho. 3. I got and idea for the management of EVs. Government should keep a set of dimensions & power of batteries compulsory for every EV & those batteries should be available at every petrol station. So that customer with EV can exchange their dead battery with the charged one for some amount of money which was spent for charging battery by station, it will decrease the processing time alot. That's how usage of EVs will increase all across the globe.

Overall considering battery cost after 3 years it won't come down as we think it will. Because of inflation. Yeah due to competition ev vehicle price may come at par with petrol vehicle. Which currently I think is high. On safer side buy petrol vehicle. Rather than getting into such cut to cut maintenance cost.

Nice video but you said one thing wrong. Lithium Ion Battery does degrade with usage but it also degrades without use. A lithium-ion battery has a shelf-life of 3 years. So at current EVs do not make any sense economically.

I was thinking on which scooter to buy between EV and petrol. Then I suddenly realised that we already have an Activa 4G in home which belongs to my father and one day father also permitted me to drive it and to make my own DL. As father is not driving the Activa anymore due to his waist pain, I guess riding the Activa will be my best guess. EV vehicles are very "captivating" or let's say, "impressive" to hear or look but they're not practical at all. They're basically the same thing as smartwatches today. They're just a walking mobile phone in the form of scooter. Similar to our smartphones. After 5 years the Li-ion battery will die, the motor and motherboard etc will wear a lot and no one will be buying it second hand.

U did insult of ather 450 by comparing it to activa bro , sorry to say U should have compared okinawa with activa. Price wise both are comparable . It u want to compare ather compare it with aprilia or vespa 125. But ya if u have a daily running of less than 10 kms then electric scooters makes more sense , furthermore with battery factories coming in India in near future it will be very easy n cheap to replace them after 5-7 years of running. ✌🏻👍🏻

Petrol is best unless electric vehicles are cheap. Maintenance is more in petrol vechicle but down the line after 3yrs or 5yrs you need to replace the battery which is almost a new electric scooter.
