Thank you for the video. I've only heard about SARCO recently and receive your emails regularly. However, your video really opened up my eyes as to the astounding amount of new/vintage firearms and accessories at your shop. Much appreciated, thank you, and Happy Easter.

Had a part time job in a gun shop for nearly thirty years (not a money spinner, rarely actually took a paycheck out of the shop). A bit over 25 years ago I walked into the gun shop for an evening shift and immediately noticed two large lever action guns with blue (blue meant consignment) tags and the factory zip ties on the levers. One was a Browning 1886 in .45-70, the other a Browning 71 in .348 Win. I had been looking for an 1886 for a few years, so I immediately made that one mine. A few days later I took the Browning 71 off the rack for a closer look. Pulled the rifle to my shoulder and noted that my eyes were, as if it were automatic, perfectly aligned with both front and rear sights. Tried shouldering the gun several more times; the perfect alignment recurred each time. That big rifle was, for me, stocked just like a properly fitted custom shotgun. That Browning 71 is still a favorite shooter, though I almost certainly will never hunt with it.

I have the Browning 71, John Browning commemorative carbine. Deluxe with checkered stock. Beautiful gold engraving, picture of Browning. New in Box on Gunbroker last year, $1000.00.

I have had my Winchester .348 so long it took me 5 minutes to remember where I got it. It is a 1950 and in great condition. It is a standard and it seems like most out there are the "deluxe" with checkered stock. A man named Bill died and he had noone to hand his belongings to and fate and being in the right place at the right time ended up handing me that Winchester 71. I have taken deer in Minnesota with it but it is not legal to hunt with it in Ohio. I preserve it with restoration wax every winter. She's a Beaut.

Why can't modern manufacturers not make firearms with iron sights anymore? If your scope gets damaged you could still put food on the table.

They’re not gonna make anything you want…

They have 'em, you just have to look around. I like iron sights too.

Cool video on an interesting gun, but change the music, please.

As far as I’m concerned the 71 and 95 were the best made.

what's it worth in this condition?
@donwyoming19369 ай бұрын
They have it marked down to $825. Not bad since the model runs $1500-$1800 in used excellent condition. 🤠
