Il Capo Corso - Cap Corse, in francese - viene spesso definito un’isola nell’isola. È un viaggio a sé, fatto di incantevoli tappe, dove potete fermarvi due ore come un giorno. Sta a voi. È un connubio intrigante tra patrimonio storico e paesaggistico, con borghi arroccati su rilievi - ricoperti dalla tipica macchia forestale mediterranea (maquis) - che precipitano in un mare dalle incredibili sfumature d’azzurro.
In alcuni casi, proprio per via di queste altezze vertiginose che rendono il paesaggio così affascinante, raggiungere le spiagge può richiedere un po’ di fatica (ve lo dicevo che non è per tutti). Una volta giunti sulla sabbia, però, il sudore è ricompensato da baie stupende e dalla bassa concentrazione di persone. Per chi viaggia con i quattro zampe: i cani sono benvenuti in pressoché tutte le spiagge.
Nel Dito della Corsica si contano circa 60 torri di avvistamento genovesi, sorte con l’intento di proteggere l’isola dagli assalti saraceni. E poi ci sono sfiziose chicche da scoprire, come un borgo marinaro dove vengono pescate principalmente aragoste e scorci panoramici la cui bellezza rimane negli occhi.

In some cases, precisely because of these dizzying heights that make the landscape so fascinating, reaching the beaches can require a bit of effort (I told you it's not for everyone). Once you reach the sand, however, the sweat is rewarded by beautiful bays and a low concentration of people. For those traveling with four-legged friends: dogs are welcome on almost all beaches.
In the Finger of Corsica there are around 60 Genoese watchtowers, built with the aim of protecting the island from Saracen attacks. And then there are delicious gems to discover, such as a seaside village where mainly lobsters are caught and panoramic views whose beauty remains in the eyes.
