In this documentary, the most important nuraghi - and some less well known - accompany us along the meaningful pathway of the island’s original civilisation; we discover what life might have been like within those great stone fortresses and also the reasons which led to the disappearance of so many nuraghi - the symbol and historical root of the Sardinian people.
The film also highlights the originality of the Sardinian language, the different forms it takes in the various geographical areas of the island and the two linguistic enclaves in Sardinia: Catalan at Alghero and tabarkino at Carloforte.
