BATHUA DAL
Ingredients
1 large bunch of bathua, leaves separated
1-1/2cups black gram (urad),
Salt to taste
½ tsp asafoetida (hing)
2 green chillies,
1 inch garlic,
Onion
1½ tsps cumin seeds
3 tbsps garlic
2 dried red chillies, stemmed and broken
Fresh coriander leave for garnish
Steamed rice for serving
Method
1.clean &wash bethua & urad dall
2. Add the urad, bathua, salt, hing, green chillies, garlic , onion 1/2 glass water.
3. cover with a lid and cook on medium heat till 3-4 whistles are released.
4. Open the lid once the pressure is completely released. Mash the dal lightly.7-8minutes
5. Add oil dried red chillies ,zeera and hing & mix well.
6. Transfer into a serving plate, garnish with coriander & serve hot with steamed rice.
