Q and A questions: 1:01:49 - How long do you guys think theaters will continue to survive? How do you all see the future of the movie-going experience evolving? 1:06:28 - Did you guys see the Doctor Sleep trailer? It's being directed by Mike Flanagan, who did Gerald's Game, which was pretty good, in my opinion, but he has a good amount of flops. Thoughts? 1:08:55 - Adum, if Scar was being voiced by Jeremy Irons in the remake, would you considering seeing the new Lion King (2019)? 1:10:00 - When did each of you become aware of each other's channels? Do you remember? 1:12:56 - Apart from Ralph, who has mentioned he has been to film school, how do you guys know so much about the technical aspects of film? Have Adum and Alex studied it at all? If not, how do you learn so much without specific education? 1:19:30 - Who is collectively, general consensus among the three of you, your favorite and least favorite director? 1:21:39 - I don't know if non-movie questions are allowed, but what are some of your favorite hobbies outside of movies, music and KZbin? 1:27:59 (Adum's question) - Is it still also applicable as a cigarette if you say faggot? 42:40 About that bit where Adam talks about the fact that Giger was alive and could have contributed to Alien3. The saddest thing is that he absolutely wanted to be in on it. I was at Giger Museum in switzerland a few years ago (I met him too!) and there were many notes with his ideas about what the new alien could look like. I'm not sure it would have been a good idea to follow on everything he wanted for it, the guy is kind of crazy (you just have to see his design for a batmobile to see what I mean) but filtered enough I would have loved to see another incarnation with his touch.

I like Disney conspiracies, so lemme drop one for Alladin: What if they had no real intention of remaking Alladin, but when Robin Williams passed away, they wanted to make it to keep Google searches away from dark territories? I mean, they probably made Will Smith such a huge meme to prevent that. Same kinda concept with Frozen being named that so when you Google "Disney" and "Frozen", you won't find a lot of articles about Walt Disney's frozen head.
@benabramowitz185 жыл бұрын
Actually, they were going to make a live-action "Genies" movie with a bunch of Robin Williams' unused recordings, but the Williams estate had full rights to all the audio until 2039, so they just went ahead with the full remake.

They did indeed consult H.R. Giger for designs but ended up fucking him over, not using his designs and then firing him. They also bastardized his designs, paid him zero royalties and then didn't even have the respect to put his name in the credits originally. Giger negotiated his name in the credits after Fox approached him to be in the making of Alien 3, which is worth watching. sheds light on a lot of things. PS. It was William Gibson who wrote that original Alien 3 wooden planet concept, not Ferguson. Which incidentally, was made into a comic book last year and is being produced as an audio drama with Micheal Biehn and Lance Henriksen starring.

'Xenomorph' was never an actual name of the alien in the series. Apone called the unknown creatures 'xenomorphs' during the briefing scene in Aliens to emphasize their extraterrestrial nature. Officially the creature is called 'Xenomorph XX121', which implies that the humanity has met quite a few alien beings before the events in the film. Also the bluescreen prod puppet was animated quite good, to be fair. Too bad they've screwed the lighting.
@fuzzydunlop79284 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t go as far as to say “alien beings” - more likely to be microscopic organisms - things like that. Burke was going to have to smuggle the xeno fetus pass quarantine. If they have those regulating space travel then what are they quarantining on such a regular basis? I’d guess checks for extraterrestrial microbes. Just my take on it.

I personally think Alien 3 is underappreciated (in particular the Assembly Cut Version). Yes, the film has many problems considering the whole Behind the Scenes drama and doesn't come even close to be as great as Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) but for me it's still a good film. I definitely prefer it over anything that happened later in this Franchise, what is kind of sad.

There was a law passed in America in 1948 called United States Vs. Paramount Pictures that made it illegal for movie studios to have exclusively on which theaters could show their movies. I would actually recommend anyone who reads this comment to look it up as it is really a major point in film history.

Days of futures past is my favorite X-men movie, although i like it for more nostalgic reasons, it's definitely the best out of the reboots by far. (not counting logan, DOFP still is a time travel movie, so < logan)

I watched The Incredibles on a plane and while I still enjoyed it, the audio quality on the earbuds I was given was so bad that it really took away from the movie for me.

Honestly I'd love to see an actual full cut of Alien 3, there are apparently still a bunch of deleted scenes that haven't been even revealed; except for those test screenings.
