I really liked session 7. I thought it had the delightful chaos of the other seasons and provided the necessary push for the endgame.

I fully agree. The total number of episodes in secret life was already looking to outgun the previous series, and due to the hardball task(s) levelled at Grian and Etho last session (also the result of this late series endgame push), people are now also out of the series. There's incentive to start bringing things into endgame toot-suite. I'm anticipating more hardballs next session, and I'll be interested to see who ends up with the server game-changer this time (or hell - what tasks collide to make it!)

@@nixedphoenix exactly. I love this season but I think under 10 episodes is really the sweet spot for the life series. I guess some people just didn't know that what we are shown even in previous seasons is not entirely real. It's not scripted, but the creators can, have, and will continue to take stuff out that doesn't fit and add stuff in to make it better. The life series (and any youtube video) is meant to be entertaining at the end of the day.

people fail to understand that gem´s task was needed. after the red cleansing of session6, something had to be done to make the series end faster, we dont know as audience, but the gang more than likely have already a planned timeline for the series to end, before starting they already know that the series is going to end in X episodes X being a number that is close to 8. i dont know if the series is going to end next session, but is for sure going to end by session9. is actually quite hard to cordinate 15 people to play something for 2 hours weekly for too many weeks, specially with the timezones that these 15 particular people have, so is clear that before starting there is already an agreed upon number of episodes.

Basically it started in a server called evo smp by Grian like years ago and was brought back by Martyn in 3rd life and then just continued into every life series hosted by Grian. The watchers are things that watch and the people behind the life series. We learn that they feast on negativity and hatred and that Grian is confirmed to be a watcher. The listeners are an extension and wer know little about them.

I am firmly on the side of session 7 not being it. While I did expect the tasks to get a liitle more dangerous, I didnt expect, or want, for the entire server to just go kill each other like that. A task anywhere close to that scale should have been given to reds, and reds alone. Or at max 1 non red.
