Looking at the BTS of this video, the girls did put in their thoughts and what they wanted to convey . .. English is their 3rd language so they will definitely need a lyricist to put the words in . .. either way, just with the delivery and flow, XG is 🔥

Why is it that them writing the lyrics is a thing? Many American rappers don’t write their own lyrics and they’re popular AF.

Yeah it’s a little weird considering Drake, Kanye, dr Dre, jay z, etc…all had stuff written for them. Most rappers today at least have collab writers. But yeah it’s only a matter of time till these xg girls take over the rap stuff tbh. But yeah for now they contribute as a team it sounds like. I think they are prob fed an initial demo track and inject their own stuff into it.

Despite English being their 3rd language, they did write some of their raps in their xyphers . . Maya and Cocona had writing dibs in Show You Can

@@michaeln3044 these rap legends all had raw talent from the start and had put tons of original stuff way before they started doing collabs and have other rappers write for them. XG is a company product, manufactured. They are heavily managed and the real musical artists behind the scenes are the ones doing the work for them. They are simply the face, the performers. To compare them to actual rap moguls is crazy

@@roarrrist Yeah no. Wtf you talking about. If by original work you mean very bad work for the most part sure. Most early stuff is unlistenable. Plus you’re talking about an entirely different system of development. This is more conducive to thinking about their training like Aau sports basically. They play until they’re drafted and then they get much more responsibility. You get an educated product that’s already grinded and self corrected for years before they are handed the keys entirely. They already have writing credits, they already employ flow patterns and switches half the rap industry can’t do, they are trilingual and they already can make a rap concert interesting which we just saw is quite the feat considering Kendrick’s deal only had about 4 rappers with any stage presence. Nobody starts out as legendary, this is a beyond dumb take. Jay z’s stuff was awful. P Diddy never rapped anything original, half of 50’s crew were just handed full songs, most any early group was all written and produced by one or two people. He literally had to change everything about himself. If you follow the progression of a group like say G-idle which is prob closer to what this one will be, they are all now putting out their own produced music and songs as they’ve gained autonomy. See our problem is we have SoundCloud culture. Hop on a mic and put out some trash u recorded in ur basement. They have university culture, earn every step of your journey and then graduate. These girls are hungry af, and will eventually make this comment ridiculous.

I’ve been following XG since before their debute. I know this: they write the lyrics as a colab. The girls, their CEO, and a couple other guys from their company write. Plus I know they have a link to some guys in ATL that have something similar o do with their lyrics and beats in part.

Idk if they write it or not, still better then 99% music that comes from american artist.

Lol, these are the same girls that you've reacted to before--it was an R&B song called 'Left Right.' But I think you did the stage performance only and not the actual MV. You must've not recognized them because they're doing rap this time; goes to show how versatile this group really is.

I think they were fed these lyrics. If they write it I wouldn't be anymore impressed. I could have wrote it, but I couldn't deliver it as nicely.
@chrislambert99032 ай бұрын
You can look up the writing credits and the girls didn't. The only time they have gotten any writers credit is on Show you Can but that has a lot of writers. I think they also get input into the tapes. Show me one rapper who writes their own lyrics that can dance on their level, speaks 3 languages, models and Snowboards on a professional level
@roarrrist28 күн бұрын
@@chrislambert9903 yeah but thats not talent, thats manufactured talent, in america we like raw talent, dont matter if you can dance or not or if your visuals are great.

Regardless of if they wrote lyrics or not... you got to give to their delivery....
