Cesar's part in this song hits hard. He lost a friend in the Pulse nightclub shooting, and being a gay Puerto Rican living in Florida, Cesar has dealt with groups of people thinking he's a "creep" simply due to who he loves and the color of his skin. Meanwhile, Geoff has made references to his body image struggles in the song "I Love Me." In that video, it was played off lightheartedly, but here he sounds so vulnerable with "I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul." It's clearly a mental health issue that he still struggles with. I don't often cry in songs, but this one and "True Colors" leave me in tears.

The hand offs between Eli and Anthony continue here. This song just makes you feel all the feels. I don't know of a more talented group of guys.

They keep killing every track in front of them especially considering their own personal battles etc

They changed it up. Arrangement, Video, and Lighting Design - Eli. This is the second song that has Cesar making us cry. I Can't Make You Love Me is the first one. Such a good actor.

Eli has been doing their lights and effects for years now, but the exciting thing about this one is that he did the arrangement!!! He did the arrangement for their cover of Eleanor Rigby three years ago. I hope we don't have to wait three years for another Eli arrangement.

Great reaction. Thanks for getting on it so quickly. I read one of your comments and saw that you are going to be doing another one soon. That particular piece, along with about 15 others, is in their Part Works series where they made the sheet music available. I still have not been able to watch this all the way through without crying. And I’ve watched it probably 50 times since I got to see it as a Patron. This is so heartbreakingly beautiful. Eli did a spectacular job of arranging and co-directing with Tony Wakim (who had been their baritone 2010 through 2017). The room was completely closed off with black drapes and Tony had to direct them using a camera and monitor. That last transition shot was done by filming the group and focusing in on Cesar while the rest of them scattered.
