She really is. Sariphi is so kind-hearted that she didn't even have any resentment towards the lizard guy for tripping her to try to make her look bad, which I think is one of the reasons why she stopped Leon from killing him. The other reason would be that because she knows Leon has a kind and caring side to him, she doesn't want him to lash out when he's disrespected, otherwise, no one would ever believe he was capable of having feelings for others.

@@caitlinjane92 She's looking at all matters from the perspective of knowing she was meant to be a sacrifice her entire life. Something like that would tend to dramatically alter one's views on things! She has almost no ego, since acceptance of self-sacrifice has been the very core of her being for at least half her life. In fact, part of HER growth in the story is to learn not to simply throw her life away so easily and develop at least a LITTLE bit of ego!

I…might need to take a closer look at this show. The animation is splendid, the characters are either fearsome or adorable, and the characterizations are superb. The King especially is fearsome yet gentle, and that voice demands respect.

If you haven´t watched it yet, I can recommend it. I watched it the last two weeks and I really enjoyed it. The different characters, the story and the mix between romantic and comedy sold it to me. Judging from the ending I doubt that a second season will be coming but sometimes a good story is done in one season.

one of the reasons Leonhart took a liking to her is that shes able to rein in his savage side. add to that the fact that she does not fear him, having seen true monsters in the form of her adoptive parents, and he only gets even more interested. this party was to announce her as the Beasts future Queen, and she didnt want blood to spilled at the party, hence why she saved the little lizards life

This is unpleasant. The lizard aristocracy trips Sariphi on purpose, trying to embarrass her in front of the king and his subjects. But it's not her fault. The king is aware of how that wretched fool wanted the human girl out of the way. Leonhart wants Sariphi as his queen and he will not let anyone harm her or mess with her. He was going to kill the aristocracy for refusing to accept the girl as queen, but Sariphi stops him from killing. What choice does he have when dealing with enemies and punishments? Tough temptations.
