Thank you so much! I've used this before, but didn't know which settings to tweak. This is going to be so helpful!

you mentioned that you use maya lights instead of arnold lights for volumetrics -- im curious what your reasons are?

How to extract volumetric_scattering in After effect. After I import my render to Ae the volumetric_scattering is gone.
@sarkamari2 жыл бұрын
One easy way is to use the render setup. I do have a video on that actually: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZuqdGqVm7efnNk Hope this helps

great! Just found your channel. Happy about that. So does the volumetric light work for all lights in the scene or can I choose just one that uses the volume light?
@sarkamari Жыл бұрын
Thank you Ideally you want to use LPE (light passes) to extract them separately and composite them passes back in Nuke. I have a video on how to setup LPE on this channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZuqdGqVm7efnNk
@kristofferlevin1484 Жыл бұрын
@@sarkamari Ah so you can´t specify it just for one light. Ok. Well, I don´t use Nuke, not yet at least. But maybe in PS then?

Photoshop is definitely a valid option if you only work with one frame (as opposed to a sequence) Regarding types of lights, I'd say the best types are spot and area lights as Volumetric.

Why is the shading so harsh on the floor? How do you make it softer as it approaches the ground?
@sarkamari Жыл бұрын
You sure can It's a personal choice. Simply keyframe Penambra Attr on your light and you're sorted. :)

Hii, is there a way to render out with atmospheric volume and GPU?
@sarkamari2 жыл бұрын
GPU should handle lighting with no issue. You can always use render setup to separate your lights into LPEs. Check my how to Playlist for more tips 🙂

It's literally a box. I am sure you can manage. The excuse behind my Patreon page is to have support for this channel and the time I spend making these videos. Iam sure you understand :)
