Vanilla WoW speed running on my fury warrior was the best WoW experience I've ever had since 2005-2008, I hope we get new content and remixed content (class balance and newly itemized loot) added to a new fresh vanilla launch soon. Vanilla is the one of the best video games ever made and you can't replicate that experience in any other game, you can't even get close to it in the first few expansions of WoW, we need Classic+.

I'm one of those weird people that doesn't judge something before I play it On top of that there's thee everything in retail is bad But whenever equality of life from retail comes into classic most people like it. And say what you want but dragonflight has been a good solid expansion 7/10 But You're right And my concern is You're going to do it so close to vanilla Because they are scared to do anything new So it's just going to be som 2 With almost no changes.

I don’t know why I’m bothering to comment on this but it popped up on my KZbin auto play and I listened to it while working but, I was suprised to hear that the new dungeon has been a success. Most of the people I was playing with since bc got frustrated with the alpha release and quite playing. I had four geared tanks when I cancelled my subs. I just got tired of most of the people I had been running with not being around and the frustration ls of running alphas with idiots that struggled with the mechanics. Then the token released and I walked away. I’ve heard they have gotten better but even my brother is planning on quitting after he helps a buddy to try and get the horseman mount. I still get on discord to chat with a couple of the guys that still play with my brother from time to time, even now they don’t enjoy running the gamma dungeons when they do it’s just to try and get the daily done and I can hear them bitching the whole run. I definitely find it more entertaining then they do.

Dam warriors been screwed the entire expansion, now the 2 other specs that struggled get buffed over fury and now they both are going to out dps fury in the only phase it'll be relevant. Not sure why everyone told warriors to wait for p4 and yet rets and ferals aren't getting nerfed back below them now. Why did fury get no buffs the entire expansion when these classes all got buffs (ferals was fucking huge) and now they're buffing hunters (who performed fine early on) and even fuckn demo locks that were literally bis in P1.

Feral got buffed to make the playstyle better, but they accidentally increased its dps, then every feral enjoyers cried when they tried to take away the ridiculous dps gain and thus feral got a huge dps buff. Fury did not. Now ret and ferals dps is higher than fury.

Fix hunter pet scaling! Pets have dropped off so hard since Phase 1. No arp, no haste and the AP coefficient is just too low. The difference between a T7 hunter pet and a T9 hunter pet is hardly noticeable.

I like a lot of this except one thing: there is absolutely no way "players love titan runed dungeons". It's a retail game mechanic - affixes and borrowed power. Stop bringing those things into the OG game. If you double down on it, and add an actual mythic+ approach, you'll kill the game.

Keep the buff out of Heroic and only implement into Normal modes. keeps the authenticity of a Heroic boss kill, while helping the pug scene for normals and easy H boss kills.

If they were to keep it authentic then the 5% buff would start the reset after the first Heroic Lich King kill happens. So Authentic for whom? If you don't want the buff in your raid you can always turn it off. I am sure logs will show the % buff.

Hes obviously saying authentic to what Heroic content is supposed to be, not authentic to what they did in og Wrath. And I completely agree with him, the buff grants you your kill you've been progressing on, which then does not feel earned, and ends the game anticlimacticly because your guild made the decision to take the path of least resistance like every other guild and use the buff to 'win'. Ulduar HMs had 5 months to breathe and progress, with 8 weeks we get less than half of that time for a harder raid. And that sucks. Why rush the final big raid

@@bumbo_stiltskin It is simple, you can opt out. You are gonna have around 2 months of no buff anyways. If it takes you and your guild that long to down heroic Lich King then you obviously need it. If your guild does finish the raid before the buff comes out, why on earth would you want farm to be harder than it needs to be. Also, why do you care if other groups/guilds utilize the buff? It doesn't effect you in any way. It doesn't make your raid a better or worse experience. You shouldn't care what other groups/guilds decide to do.

@@Tainted0ne1138 Because it will be a guild decision, not a personal one, and the low hanging fruit of being able to turn it on will fracture people in guilds on whether to turn it on or off, and the shiny loot/desire for parsing/etc. will likely (as we both know) force hands to turn it on. Those who didn't want it turned on will feel like they didn't earn it because of a guild decision. Personally if my guild doesn't have it down by then, I think we'll be very close and I really hope they decide not to turn it on, but some people will want it on, and then they will be frustrated. We aren't progging HLK for 8 weeks straight, we are progging 11 bosses and getting a few down each week like most guilds in Ulduar. Algalon was killed around 8 weeks in for us, then we had him down regularly and easily. Meaning we did not need a buff, we just needed more reps and more lockouts. LK is a 20 minute fight. Wiping and getting reps in can be a whole night in itself. He is like 3 Algalons back to back.

I guess this comment will never be heard, but I really really hope they don’t just naively add the buff without incentivizing the no buff version. It doesn’t feel write. Would prefer they nerf the content then make your character suddenly stronger in what’s meant to be the “end raid”. It kills the progression feeling as well and will make Hc LK not an achievement.

In my opinion. Warcraft logs will do there magic and adjust parsing based on buff or no buff like they did for hardmodes in ulduar vs normal modes.

Gamma is nice. I just wish there was something like that during the existing raid tier. We never seen Deaths Verdict in the entire raid patch for ToGC. I really wish we had something similar during the patch vs after… months of clearing ToGC and having the worst luck ever starts to suck an makes you not want to play anymore. :(

Though stuff like that happening sucks, doing that would just completely invalidate raids if you could get the gear from 5man dungeons. The way it is now is very generous already, being able to get some BiS or competitive Gear just before the next tier, just from spamming some dungeons is insanely good.

Absolute BS other classes haven't been reaching out. Enhancement has been, there is a post in the forums currently that Stooki made that discusses how cringe the raid is for enhancement. There are also some really awesome suggestions in there to make for enhance, because it is going to be a massive outlier, where most guilds might not bring one.

Why are you estimating adding in the buff around 8 weeks in? Why? The majority of non-hardcore guilds will need more than that. You did pre-nerf/buffed Ulduar and NEVER nerfed it this time and it's been like 30 weeks. Buff normal ICC, sure, but the point of heroic is to for the content to be harder, prove your team can do it, and get rewarded with stronger versions of the same gear. So many people will feel 'robbed' as you say like back in the day once the heroic kill is basically given to them with the buff. Hes the last boss of the trilogy, why not let that breathe like you just did with Ulduar this time. 8 weeks is way too soon imo, i feel like 8 weeks is gonna be where many guilds are getting close. That was the case with Algalon, and LK is even harder. Sure you can 'turn it off', but that is a guild decision not a personal one and the path of least resistance is usually chosen, even if it's begrudgingly. No boss so far from my Class experience was given to us (tho it was for some in tier 5), why do this for the final big boss. It turns killing LK into a race in 2 months, whereas Algalon had 5 months to let everyone take their time to progress. Buff normal, dont buff heroic yet. i Its antithetical to heroic and how Wrath Classic has been treated so far

I disagree/dislike with the whole design philosophy of "making dungeons fresh". They should've given essences from the raids only and give them since the start of each phase so to address the issue of your favourite item not dropping / not getting it and heroic version of items should've been also purchasable. This design philosophy completely devalues people who have been farming the whole phase. New characters or characters trying to catch up should simply have gone back to the "old" raids to get the items they need. There would've been an environment where you get a mix of pumpers / more experienced players (who still miss some of their bis items and so are either farming those items or the essences for them) and new people. It's amazing that Blizzard have found a way to kill their old content not just with every new expansion, but with every new patch.

See, to me, “Classic” means Vanilla (or today’s version of it). TBC and WotLK are not Classic, despite Blizzard slapping that label on it. Now, we’re actually hearing about a possible “Classic” Cataclysm. Jesus. What a horrid joke. Cataclysm was the “classic” WoW ruination, that’s about it. When I see a Sarthe video about “Classic,” I get excited. Then, I’m disappointed when I discover that he’s really talking about WotLK, which I care nothing about. 🤮

Blizzard went full retail at the end of wrath. ICC will most likely be fun even though it will be a joke with that buff + icc gear once it goes live. Account shared stuff, RDF, wow-token and nerfs coming in shortly. Hopefully they see the success and why so many players went back to Vanilla. It's time go back to the unique design of the game again and not "give-everyone-what-they-want". Chris Metzen announcement very soon.

Many went back cause there is not really actually all that much to do in wrath aside from raid logging and leveling alts... pvp arena is dying, world pvp does not really exist so ofc players look for alternatives. Stop trying to blame improvments to the game for falling player counts in P3. My Server has seen a huge increase in new players and new guilds are popping up every few weeks since P4 announcment. Looks like youre just the usual classic doomer... Many just follow whats currently trending and that happens to be hardcore right now.

ICC should just go on for ever… there is nothing else after ICC for classic… Like Star Wars the original 3 is where it should stop.

Right. Amount of active players went down a lot during this year with Wrath and we have now basically 1 megaserver in each region and a few healthy ones left. That number will most likely increase even more negatively with Cata. Will be very intresting with this Blizzcon and see if they have the courage to something else than the most obvious and go Cata.

RDF was the BIGGEST let down. They said it was implemented for low level players trying to dungeon but you can’t even use it with low level characters because it tries to queue you for a sole dungeon and your friends might slightly be out of the level range of the chosen dungeon. Should be called retard dungeon finder cuz you can’t even queue with it. Super frustrating. I can’t even queue with my wife because she’s 2 levels lower than me…I hate it
