Mark suggested our reaction to the Haka may indicate an inferiority complex towards New Zealand. Similarly, I believe our fascination with The Breakdown, a New Zealand rugby program, and their Springboks analysis, stems from this complex. It's puzzling they'd highlight our success amid their struggles. Would someone struggling really praise their opponents? The Breakdown features three former All Blacks players. The idea they'd remain impartial is amusing, to say the least. 😂
@MegaPrinsloo
@MegaPrinsloo 16 сағат бұрын
@@TheFarmtonian1783 That makes sense. My problem with them at this moment is not that they praise our performance or feed our inferiority complex with the latest show. My issue is that they could have taken 30 seconds out of their whole show just to congratulate the winners of the championship they were a part of. Part of last week's title of their show was to point out that we lost to Arg and nothing this week (not at all suggesting we should have been in the title this week). I respect that panel as the awesome players they were and liked their show for the insights they brought to the table each week. Unfortunately I can not find the same respect for them at this moment. We were taught from a very young age to congratulate our opponents on a win, does not matter how you feel at that moment.

I actually think he's got a point and he should keep making it. I like the skill set that Tony Brown is bringing, but should the boks be playing this way in 2027? Those two wins against the ABs should have been more convincing taking into account the personnel we currently have, the home field advantage and the state of the abs. If we played the same style we did last year at Twickenham I think it would have been. Not to say we shouldn't learn to score tries, but the game is extremely expansive at the moment. @jarednel3671 ok but what did he actually do that set him apart? Fast passes? Every good 10 can do that Great high bombs? Half his bombs did absolutely nothing and just gave possession away Kicking? So useless that when somebody kicks 50% they look impressive compared to him Open play? Sacha just as good and Jorden Hendrikse is also fantastic there

@@Forest9528you clearly didnt watch the game as a supporter of every player but rather as a bitter person. Truth is you simply dont want Manie in the team and Nothing he does will ever be good enough for you. I believe deep down you also don’t want Siya Kolisi in the team especially him being given the captaincy to lead “white people”. You have a long way to go.

I'd like to discuss the criteria for selecting the player of the match. While Steph performed exceptionally well, there were other players who also showed outstanding performance in their respective categories of play, such as Ox, Cheslin, and Manie. I believe it might be worth considering awarding the title to the best player in each category. What are the current criteria for selecting the man of the match, and should they be reconsidered?

Can we please have SA A playing Rugby Europe champs full time, imagine, richardson, Mchunu, gumede, phepsi, hanekom, Nohamba, Henco Van Wyk etc etc all getting test level game time, 2nd div euro teams all get tougher competition So many fringe guys, du preez brothers, van de Mescht, dweba, du toit we'd all love to see Nthlabakanye in a green jersey as well the mans passion is infectious Probably slim chance of that actually happening but please Even if they play pasific nations or super rugby 😂❤

The Boks have not gone away from those basics. Absolute BS, we still dominate the scrums in every game, and our gainline carry stats are still just as good. The anti-Tony ball is an incredibly dumb take. Our lineouts have struggled because have a new lineout operator in Nortje who will get better with time.

Ja no I'm with Keo on this one, dominate dominate dominate. I remember watching a test match in PE where Klusener and co just absolutely smacked India and thinking ja but its boring and then going through the period where the Aussies absolutely dominated us stikkend for ages and ages and ages and I remember thinking that never again will I wish away any level or period of dominance that we may have in any of our sports.

@siya - very well said! Manie definitely the best exponent for this new game plan. None of the bok 10s can get a backline flowing like that. Unfortunately with the springboks and why I can't get behind, the standards for acceptance and judging the black players are different.

The Springboks beat an Argentina side that had shocking discipline. 2 Yellow cards and a red card, any side in the world is going to put 40+ points on a team playing that badly, SA fans and pundits need to put it into perspective instead of talking up a dominant performance, because with that going against Argentina (Which is their own fault), it's to be expected. Don't forget that this heavily experienced Springbok side lost to Ireland at home, and only beat New Zealand by 4 points and 6 points, who are a team that are under a new coaching structure. Not to mention, NZ had a yellow card both times in the last 20 minutes. With all the experience and the time that this amazing Springbok team has spent together, they should be blowing teams off the field.

You know who needs to put it into perspective the people who gets paid to do it the coaching staff our responsibility as supporters are to support and that's it ..next you gonna say we need to put it into perspective that Cheslin charged down a conversion in the RWC QF and we should put into perspective that the All Blacks missed a conversion in the final. And put into perspective that Nienaber isn't part of the Bok setup anymore....

@@TheFarmtonian1783 Supporters will be supporters. Stuff happens in sport, and you can only play whats in front of you. Reds or yellows, charging down kicks, missing kicks, that's sport in a nutshell. What I'm referring to is fan bases being biased and refusing to see the hard facts in front of them, regardless of the team you support. Here is some perspective if you wish. In this very podcast, Keo says that Ben O'keefe did well and against France and that he's the best ref in the world. Yet against Ireland in the pool rounds when South Africa lost, he was labelled the worst referee ever by SA fans. But suddenly against France and England at the RWC, he was the amazing once again, and again in this past weekend. Another perspective of bias, let's talk about Mannie Libbok. Only a week ago, the majority of Springbok fans were calling for his head, saying he shouldn't wear a green and gold jumper again. But this weekend, suddenly he's amazing and is the future.
