RSS should have consulted Swamijis before making statement and it is not late even now. Concerns of RSS may be to avoid internal conflicts and focus on development. Statements made by RSS senior leaders have huge impact. It should never look like RSS making statements against collective will of Santa samaj or comon man on street. I really do not doubt integrity,dedication,maturity of Sangha leaders but statements should be made in a way common man can understand intent behind these statements. This statement at the time of Kumbh where sadhus from all over country come together could have been avoided. It also looks like it is aimed against many chief ministers who are taking nationalistic stands . RSS need not participate in every temple movement as it may need to spend most of its time unification and transformative activities, but it should not blame people who taking interests in the temples. In fact RSS has front-line organizations like VHP for this cause.
